Fox Mulder comes to mind. (.. so it is a name those who say it isn’t) If you ask mumsnet you will always get some people angrily saying that you can’t call your child so and so. If you love it then use the name. Others will get used to it and if they love your child then they will learn to love his name.
You know X-Files isn’t real, right? Grin

I had DS in November and was talking to the midwife who delivered him about names and she said one of the most popular names they kept having at the end of last year was Fox for a wee boy!!

I wouldn’t use it personally but might be worth considering that it’s becoming popular in some areas. I’m west coast of Scotland.
