I absolutely love this name, but its gotten very mixed reactions from others so I wanted to know what everyone on here thinks

I think it would be sweet for a Philip. switching maybe to Pip as they get older.

It's an awful name to give as a formal name, but great as a nickname.

I have a friend of a friend, 43ish yo guy called Pip. I assumed it was a nickname when I met him and his parents were LOTR fans, but nope! I really like it and it suits him too.

Pip is an established name for both men and women, starting as a short version of Philip/Philippa. Pippin isn't. Please don't inflict it on your child.

It’s a name I associate with rabbits, animals in general and a hobbit. Never with a human being.

Go for Pip, as in from Great Expectations.

We used to have guinea pigs called Pippin and Popsy when I was a child.

Perfect for a rabbit. Best kept for a nickname for a human.
