Too many princess names?

We have an older daughter (6) called Arabella and are expecting twins any day now really. We are struggling so much on their names and had settled on Audrey & Quinn but are now considering Aurora to replace one of those two names.
But, my question is, is having Aurora and Arabella(Belle) too many princess names / does it sound like we spend all our time watching Disney+?!

I am British but was educated in the US and was there about 10 years, I knew several Quinn's but they were all male. I never heard Quinn for a girl until I got back to the UK.

I really don't like Aurora , it's like a seal barking twice with an a at the end. Sorry.

I think the bigger issue is that you have 2 A names. If siblings have the same initial I think they should all have the same initial or all have different.

Not keen on Audrey.

Just going to throw this out to you. What about Ainsley?

I’d possibly replace Audrey with it and have Ainsley and Quinn but if you want the three As then Arabella, Felix, Hugo Audrey and Ainsley All work together

You were so happy with Audrey and Quinn! I like Quinn. How about Allegra?

Audrey and Quinn are beautiful strong life long names.

Aurora is very twee and she’ll be mortified by the age of 12. Stick with your original idea.

mathanxiety · 03/04/2021 23:13

Quinn is definitely unisex in the US.

AccidentallyOnPurpose · 04/04/2021 00:07

Audrey is a princess too. Sleeping beauty's daughter.Grin She goes all bonkers and becomes the Queen of Mean. Yeah.. I watch too much Disney.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 04/04/2021 02:28

Audrey and Quinn of your choices. I like Aurora but Arabella and Aurora are a bit princess sounding together to me (and yes Quinn does sound the odd one out), but Audrey and Aurora are too similar imo for twins.

Audrey is retro cool and while Quinn isn't exactly my taste, it's fine and has meaning to you (and no kid is likely to know what a quim is).

Either that or switch it around and call them Eva and Catherine as pp's suggested with Quinn as a middle name for one or both - Eva Audrey Quinn and Catherine Aurora Quinn (or Catherine Aurora Sophie) sound lovely, each sibling has their own initial but the names all sound good together.

I wouldn’t choose Quinn personally. I had never heard of it as a name until I watched Daria, and it doesn’t have great connotations for me from that. Maybe because growing up I was Daria and really wanted to be Quinn! How about Daria as well then?

So your kids names are: Arabella, Felix, Hugo.
I don't like so much Aurora, and Alexandra.
Quinn is a good name. Audrey is a good name too, but maybe it's better if your kids have all different initials.
I have some options:
Maya
Stephanie
Lorraine
Kimberly
Kathleen
Paris

I definitely prefer Audrey to Aurora. I think Aurora is more of a trend name, but Audrey is classic and timeless.

Violetlavenders · 13/04/2021 14:04

Quinn is used more often for boys than girls (in the UK). I prefer it for a boy, it's similar to Finn or Flynn.

LiverLungs · 14/04/2021 10:17

Arabella and Quinn

Arrierttyclock · 14/04/2021 12:45

Quinn
Arabella
Audrey

Love these names together

I think Audrey and Aurora looks like you are trying to find match names.
Aurora is a frillier name than Audrey and Audrey is therefore a better pairing with Quinn.
If you don’t use Quinn, which has a lot of likes on this thread, I think you will forever regret it. It has a family connection, too. Audrey can have Sophie as her family connection. However, in my experience sisters/siblings don’t tend to sit around comparing their names. You choose the best names that seem to suit with LOVE, and that’s the important thing.
I just love the names of your born children and you’ve done very well there.
I hope you have an easy birth and good sleepers.
Good luck
