Middle name for Forest?

mamah2019 · 15/02/2021 21:28

Says it all in the title really.

I have an idea of what I'd like to go for but I want to make sure I've looked at all options before locking a middle name in. I would love to hear some other people's suggestions please.

It's for a little boy :)

Thank you!

You don't get to pick who you surround your child with at school, and kids can be really fucking mean.

They can be & just as likely to pick on a Forest as they would an Oliver.

I also don’t believe for one second kids get mercilessly teased over there names these days either. My Son has quite an unusual name and no one has ever said anything unusual to him about it. He loves his name.
So many unusual names these days.

Any kid who thinks it’s hilarious to shout “run Forrest run” more than once as a light joke is probably a right douche anyway.

Teddy is the dimunitive of Theodore.

Bears (Thoedore) shit in the wood (Forest).

You risk the child being called Bear shit as a nickname throughout his teenage year.

That's a bit of a stretch isn't it? 😂

PickledChicory · 16/02/2021 00:04

Colin would go perfectly.

I work with 14 year olds- it really isnt

The Theodores get called a lot of piss taken out of them as it is. Add in Forest and it is a comic goldmine.

A couple of people suggested Forest Gabriel, reminds me of Gabriel Oak in Far From the Madding Crowd, someone to aspire to. Have you considered having Forest as the middle name? You could still call him Forest. Some of the 3 syllable names people have suggested work better with the longer name in front. ( e.g. Alexander Forest .......) has a nice rhythm to it.

Uiseag · 16/02/2021 00:07

I like
Forest Richard
Forest Joe
Forest Alexander

Better a different name than Harry A, Harry B or Harry C or Oliver S, Oliver T or Oliver W cos the parents are so bloody desperate for their child to match the wallpaper and disappear.

My school friend was a Chloe B, there were 3 others in the same class & it pissed her off. She went completely wild with her dcs names.

Oh, your pathetic. What a drama queen. Probably the kind of shit you sit sniggering about in your kitchen so your own little brats go off to school and repeat.

Well quite.

And he'd probably be as likely to make 'jokes' about Georgie Porgie making the girls cry or Harry being Hairy or Henry being a Tank Engine.

A fleet of 10 year olds cultured in Tom Hanks films dont strike me as a huge bullying threat tbh.

Coronateachingagain · 16/02/2021 00:09

I hope you don't live in Nottingham OP

Guilty as charged...

... Exactly the same reason i did. I hated being dull generic multiple copy name.

Unlike you I am not rude and abusive to strangers on the internet.

Do you feel big?
Superior?
Has slagging of me made you day in some way?

I really don't know what motivates people like you.

Trumpetpants · 16/02/2021 00:12

Was Forest Glades an air freshener? To be fair at first I thought No! Don't do it, but it has grown on me, sadly though it will be inextricably linked with Gump....

violetcobra · 16/02/2021 00:12

Forest Theodore
Forest Alexander
Forest Edward
Forest Edmund
Forest Rowan
Those are probably my favourite options.

brownet · 16/02/2021 00:14

She's never ever been able to just be Chloe as there has always been another Chloe. I think she might have meant a Chloe B at uni as well, not sure what they did then 🤣🤣 Shame as it's a lovely name.

One of my favourite names is Oliver but I could never use as I know so many.

fahlala · 16/02/2021 00:14

Ahh that's a lovely name if you like nature names how about
Forest leaves
Forest frost
Forest air
Forest fox
Forest dew
Forest sounds
Forest flowers
Forest scents
Forest fire
Forest fresh
Forest ants
Or how about
Forest porest
Forest morest
Or
Forest nigel

JustZooming · 16/02/2021 00:15

Tre

Sylvac · 16/02/2021 00:16

Tre
I used to teach a child called Tre but the parents pronounced it as Tray?

Hang on I'm confused, did you come onto a thread & say that a certain name would result in shit in the woods or whatever but your calling other posters rude?

🤣🤣

Sylvac · 16/02/2021 00:19

I also know a child called Ferral if you are looking for a wild type name

I wasn't being rude, I was being honest and it wasn't personally aimed at anyone.

That was the first thing the name made me think of. I work with teenagers. The Teddies/Theos get a lot of bear jokes as it is.

The person replying launched a personal attack on me.
