Lux

When you see this name would you think it is a boys name or a girls name? Really struggling to decide on a boys name and the name Lux is one that me and DH both like but I don't know if we will use it or if it is more feminine.

Lux soap flakes - I used to use it to hand wash my woollen jumpers.

What about Lawrence? Larry, Leo, ? or Max if you love the X factor.

They smelled lovely! Very good for hand washing woollens. I never heard of putting them in a bath though You live and learn.

An odd name to call a child. How about `Palmolive? Or Palm-Olive?

I’m afraid on hearing Lux I thought a) soap and b) Lux Interior, the singer from The Cramps.

I immediately thought of soap. I couldn't place it with either gender as it does not sound like a name at all to me. I'd struggle to even imagine it for a pet

Leo Seth is a great name.

One of the MTV Teen Moms has a third child called Lux - that’s what I think of mostly.

I'm now considering Lennox, because it is similar to Lux and Leo and can be shortened to Lenny which I like. I'm just struggling to find middle names because I think Lennox Seth doesn't sound right with the x and s sounds together.

Forget the Ls and the Xs and go back to the drawing board although, like an above poster, Leo is nice.

My name has an x in it. And people shorten it all the time.

I’ve been relentlessly teased about it as a teenager. People usually scoff at the name when they first read it, and there are many many misspellings....

FWIW I thought Lux would more suit a boy and I quite like it. Prefer Lennox though.

But sure about Leo, has "Leo the Lion" connotations, but Seth Lennox sounds like a rock star, actually really quite like that combo. Depends on the surname though, but he could drop that when he becomes famous...!

In all seriousness though, go with what YOU like, whatever name you put on here for opinions will get good and bad reviews as everyone is different. Good luck in your decision.
