I prefer Isobel, lovely name!

Standrewsschool · 07/09/2020 13:38

Isabel

emilybrontescorsett · 07/09/2020 13:38

Isobel for me.

Isobel

threecatsandcounting · 07/09/2020 13:40

Personally I think Isobel is the nicest spelling

Bringmewineandcake · 07/09/2020 13:42

Isabelle for me.

I can't help reading Isobel as 'ice o bell' in my head

MagMell · 07/09/2020 13:43

Isabel. Fine with Isobel, too, but I don't like the frilliness of the 'belle' ending.

Puffalicious · 07/09/2020 13:45

Like PP Isabelle is too frilly. I met a Rachelle (Rachel) recently- no need.

Isobel.

MikeUniformMike · 07/09/2020 13:46

Isabel.

Feminist10101 · 07/09/2020 13:48

Prefer Isabella. More balanced, sound and syllable-wise.

BertieBob · 07/09/2020 13:48

Isobel.

Firepitnights · 07/09/2020 13:49

Ishbel - break the mould and have a beautiful name that no one else has chosen.

DoTheMaccaroni · 07/09/2020 13:49

Isobel

Cheetahfajita · 07/09/2020 13:49

Isobel although I prefer Ishbel as it's not as widely used.

NetballHoop · 07/09/2020 13:50

Isabel as that's how it has been spelt by 4 generations in my family.

redastherose · 07/09/2020 13:51

Isabel for me, I think it sounds nicest with the 'a' sound rather than the 'o' sound in the middle and is easier for a little girl to learn to spell as most people will say it that way whichever way you spell it.

EggyPegg · 07/09/2020 13:52

DS2 would have been Isabel had he been a girl.

Trevorina · 07/09/2020 13:57

Isobel

Beautyoftheirdreams · 07/09/2020 13:58

I have an Isobel so I vote that

Gran22 · 07/09/2020 14:08

@Firepitnights

Ishbel - break the mould and have a beautiful name that no one else has chosen.
I remember an Ishbel from a holiday in the north of Scotland in the 1950s. A lovely, soft sounding name.

Of the three listed - Isobel

LilaButterfly · 07/09/2020 14:09

Isabelle

Fruitshootloop · 07/09/2020 14:10

Agree with Ishbel - I love that name!

Pippilangstrumpfi · 07/09/2020 14:16

They're different names that I would pronounce differently:
Isabel - IS abel
Isabelle - isa BELLE
Isobel - IS obel

MondeoFan · 07/09/2020 14:16

Isobel is the one
