For a girl. Just curious. :)

I really like it

NickMyLipple · 01/09/2020 22:24

I love it.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:25

:O Positivity on a name! Yay! (so far hahahah)

I love it! But wouldn’t be brave enough to use it, but I’m not sure why it needs bravery really. I’m a “boring name” person.

Orphlids · 01/09/2020 22:26

I love it too.

peajotter · 01/09/2020 22:27

Like it but I would assume it was a boy.

Do you like June? Because it may get shortened to that when she is older.

NickMyLipple · 01/09/2020 22:27

Just be wary of surnames as it sounds a bit like "do you know" so there could be some unfortunate combinations!

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:28

@Babs709 My DH is a little lukewarm on it - other options are Rosie and Cara (which I like too!). I guess I can see myself having a little girl Juno though ... not sure why some names just seem to fit!

I love it!

Babs709 · 01/09/2020 22:29

Of the three, Juno definitely. I like the other two but I like Juno more. I’m sure it was relatively high on the ONS list last week. Not like “they’ll be ten in every class” popular but “most people will know how to spell and pronounce it” popular.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:29

@peajotter June reminds me of June Carter-Cash so I'm not unhappy with that nickname at all! I think I'd end up calling her Junie when she's little (probably not if she's big and grown up though :D ).

@NickMyLipple That doesn't make me like it less, juno what I mean? ;)

russetred · 01/09/2020 22:31

My friend's daughter is called Juno, I think it's beautiful and no one calls her June.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:31

@Babs709 I quite like Roxanne too but that has some unfortunate music connotations hahaha! Juno makes sense to me, though I guess that has some unfortunate film connotations too ... hmmm... hahaha!

ODFOx · 01/09/2020 22:33

I know a baby Juno who gets Nono as a nickname: so cute!

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:33

@russetred I do really think it's a nice name. It's got a bit of an other-worldly feeling without being too over-the-top and in your face (plus gotta make sure any daughter I have knows she's a goddess hahah!)

Japanesejazz · 01/09/2020 22:34

It’s my dogs name
I’ve never been embarrassed shouting it

CrazedInsomniac · 01/09/2020 22:34

I like it. My only internal quibble would be ‘Junoesque’, which might be a bit much whether she’s tall, imposing and stately’ or a skinny wisp of a thing...?

Babs709 · 01/09/2020 22:34

I also really like Juniper.

And Luna? Iris? Mara? Sadie? Zara?

Elouera · 01/09/2020 22:36

Sorry, but Juno reminds me of the film about a pregnant teen who wants to give up her baby- called JUNO!!! The only Juno I know. Also, I think of UNO the card game.

I like Kara, and have only see it spelt that way, not Cara. Rosie is ok, but I prefer Kara, and then lastely Juno.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:36

@ODFOx Mama, Dada and Nono! Oh that's so precious :') If anyone knows any tips to persuade their DHs about names then that will be good lol! still in pre TTC stages (for now) so there's still some time to change his mind mwaha!

DD's best friend is named Juno, I love this name.

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:39

@CrazedInsomniac We've got some tall, broad shouldered relatives as well as some shorter ones so could go either way! Even if she were teeny, I'm sure she would end up with a very life-sized personality knowing me hahaha!

@Elouera Pregnant teen connotations, definitely get that. Not advocating for teen pregnancy but Juno the character was pretty cool!

I know a Juno, the child of an old friend. She's a great kid. It's a lovely name and I wish I could use it (can't because of afformentioned friend's child!)

Sk1nnyB1tch · 01/09/2020 22:42

I love it! There is also Juno & the Paycock for cultural references.
I'm on the list for a puppy and might steal it if you don't mind 🙂

change2birds · 01/09/2020 22:45

@Sk1nnyB1tch Puppies are just hairy babies, so go mad! Hahahah

@Marriageoftrueminds Gah, take the name and run! Into the hills, I tell you 👶🏻😂
