HELP NAMING TWINS!!!

sockieA · 21/07/2020 16:26

Me and my DH are expecting twins in November and desperately need help choosing names as we are horrific at thinking of names. We want the names to be meaningful to us and not just sound pretty but it's quite hard to do! Here's what we've got so far

DD -
Scout
Birdie
Luna
Star

DS -
Blue
Sparrow
Knox
Xavier

Any opinions or suggestions??

Beatrice (bee) and Honey?
Iris & Rose 🌹
Ivy & Poppy
Syke & Eden
Lydia & Lucia
Freya & Maya
Grace & Lily

I think the OP is winding us up and the babies will probably be called Jack and Olivia.

JaJaDingDong · 21/07/2020 18:37

Can you imagine a 6' 15 stone man being called Sparrow? 😀

RedRumTheHorse · 21/07/2020 18:41

@JaJaDingDong

Can you imagine a 6' 15 stone man being called Sparrow? 😀
Or a 50 year old 5ft 10inch woman called "Birdie".

Shayisgreat · 21/07/2020 19:07

I like Xavier. I prefer Bridie to Birdie.

MIgZig · 21/07/2020 19:08

Yes, or you can spell it the Scandinavian way 'Lief' pronounced 'life'.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 21/07/2020 19:10

Do you know the genders

MIgZig · 21/07/2020 19:10

And also mean to put 'Rowan' which can be used for either sex.

dobbyssoc · 21/07/2020 20:27

@MIgZig what a strange strange idea

MIgZig · 21/07/2020 20:40

@dobbyssoc not sure which of my messages you are referring to. The only strange thing I notice is I spelled it Lief when it is actually Leif.

MikeUniformMike · 21/07/2020 21:04

How about Compass and Passport. Unisex names.
Or maybe Jett and Cruz.

MikeUniformMike · 21/07/2020 21:05

Maybe Flyte and Cruz would be a better choice.

Bogie and Birdie go together nicely too.

Or Timbuktu and Ouagadougou?

MikeUniformMike · 21/07/2020 21:07

Sydney and Adelaide have been mentioned on the BN threads recently.

dobbyssoc · 21/07/2020 21:11

@MIgZig the idea you would subject a child to have the name of Leaf!

MikeUniformMike · 21/07/2020 21:15

we are horrific at thinking of names

Everyone on here seems to be having twins at the moment, all with ridiculous names too.

COPPER3 · 21/07/2020 21:56

Luna is beautiful
Xavier is nice
Ocean, Jax for boys names? Ula, Iris for girls?

OhYeahYouSuck · 21/07/2020 22:27

Some those aren't names. Don't be so stupid.

Ginger1982 · 21/07/2020 22:49

Well this has given me a good pre-bedtime giggle.

Might I suggest Lufthansa and Quantas?

NotYourDawg · 22/07/2020 00:12

I think you're confusing naming children with naming pets.

Sparrow!?

Poor bloody children.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/07/2020 00:16

DD -
Scout no
Birdie ew
Luna love
Star how about Seren instead?

DS -
Blue feeling a bit blue with the baby blues
Sparrow girlie
Knox fort
Xavier awesome

I'd have Xavier and Luna from your list.

How about Wren or Farrow?

ParsleyPot · 22/07/2020 00:22

Birdie and Sparrow, really classy.

For short, they can be Bir and Spaz.

Allmyeye · 22/07/2020 01:47

Awful and not even names. Poor kids.

What about proper names to do with nature like Heather, Hazel, Rosa? Even Willow which I don’t care for is a better option and more acceptable as a proper name these days . Must admit I’ll have to give the boys names more thought and come back.
