Why not be ahead of the curve and go with Anne, not used much now but a beautiful name and Annie as a nickname is lovely, but a proper grown up name for the cv years. I know a couple of Anna's in their twenties so to me Anne actually feels fresher and ready for a comeback.

VenusClapTrap · 22/07/2020 07:23

Anne. Beautiful in its simplicity.

Muppetry76 · 22/07/2020 07:25

Anne will always get asked 'with an E?

Annie or Anna get my vote.

Muppetry76 · 22/07/2020 07:28

Ladybird ladybird, where have you been?
Your house is on fire, your children are gone
All except one, and her name is Anne
Ans she hid under the frying pan

An interesting little ditty from my childhood. Please use either Annie or Anna...

I love Anna but I like Anne too (though only with an E!) - it depends how ahead of the curve you want to be!

Furiousfalala · 16/12/2021 18:03

Ann

user1493494961 · 16/12/2021 18:18

Anna, very classy.

annienotanne · 16/12/2021 19:35

Please don’t call your child Anne. It’s my name and I hate it - it’s just so awful and boring. In a world of beautiful names who wants to be called something that sounds like Aah or Aagh?

It’s so prim and boring and I just don’t know why you would do that to your child.

KirstenBlest · 16/12/2021 19:41

I really like Ann

Flutterflybutterby · 16/12/2021 22:18

Annie

Luredbyapomegranate · 16/12/2021 23:57

Anna nn Annie

Unless you have a longer elegant surname in which case Anne. Annie is sweet but it’s a nn.

Camii · 19/12/2021 06:32

Love Anna

delshell · 19/12/2021 21:48

Definitely Anna.
Annie sounds like it's short for something.
Anne is a bit plain for my liking, although it's a strong, classic name.
