Juliet or Julia?

Looking for a classic name for James' little sister to be.
Comments welcome. I like these two and underused I think?

I think Juliet is beautiful

Juliet as it can be shortened to Ettie or Etta.

Julia, by preference.
I don’t dislike Juliet but it is a diminutive, so Little Julia. Better to go for the full name. You will also get different pronunciations of Juliet.

Juliet is lovely too, but only when it's pronounced JOOLyet.

I don't like the jooliETT pronunciation unless you're using the French Juliette spelling. Shortening it to Ettie or Etta as a pp suggested would ruin a gorgeous name.

Juliet is much nicer and more timeless than Julia. But I prefer Lucia over both.

Had a couple of good friends called Julie but no offence to any Julies here- it just doesn't seem as timeless as my other two choices.

Julia love it, beautiful name and although I'm too old for another baby Julia would definitely be the name I'd choose.
