I quite like Harper and Ocean🤔 but I do agree with pp’s... They sound like paint colours

Twooter · 22/05/2020 21:48

Lumen makes me think of bowel lumen

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 22/05/2020 21:50

Harper. It's okay. Very over rated though.
Ocean. It's okay
Lilac. Love this.Ruby Sienna Amber Scarlett are all very popular color themed names. Why not Lilac.
Astor. Not heard this but I quite like it
Scout. I think you'd have to be 100% sure she was going to be lively and full of character. I don't think it d suit a very shy child.
Blaze. See Scout.
Greer. I love this.
Indigo. See Lilac.
Bali. See Ocean
Lumen. I love this..
Holland. Id just think. I think I know what you did I'm Holland 9 months before.Wink. Don't like the sound of it either.
Tatum. Gorgeous.
Ace. Nice name but more for a boy Id say.
Brighton. See Holland.
Fallon. One of my favorites.
Teal. See Lilac and Indigo.
Halston. Is that a place, too.
Collins. What an ugly name. Id assume it was your s or your mind maiden name.
Gage. It's a nice name. However it Just makes me think of the little boy in Pet semetery. I certainly wouldn't put it a girl, though

HarrysMummy17 · 22/05/2020 21:50

There is a Harper in my ds's class and I knew an Ocesn once who was team a travelling family.

Fennelandlovage · 22/05/2020 21:51

Tatum for me. It was on my list. Strong list that sounds like you might be a feminist with hippy tendencies who grew up in the 80s and met you partner in Brighton. That’s my read anyway. 😉

Userwhatevernumber · 22/05/2020 21:51

Harper, Lilac, Astor and Indigo are very nice

The rest are a bit extra and try hard to be ‘out there’

Elouera · 22/05/2020 21:53

I assumed these were all male names till I re-read the heading! Ace, Blaze, Halston, Collins cant surely be female names?

I do like unpopular and different names, but some on your list are just too out there.

Lumen in medical terms is the width of a tubular structure like intestines, veins or sizing for catheters, so this is a definite no from me Hmm

Fallon sounds rude and like something done to genitals!

The only names, at a push, I'd chose from a girl are Lilac, Teal and Indigo.

Ameliablue · 22/05/2020 21:54

Awful

whattodo2019 · 22/05/2020 21:59

Sorry but I think they are all ridiculous. As a professional woman I would be mortified to be called one of these names

anxietrist · 22/05/2020 22:02

Who says Blaze can't be professional! Blaze would close that deal!

REdReDRE · 22/05/2020 22:04

Fallon and Harper are the only reasonable ones on there.

NaToth · 22/05/2020 22:07

Harper
Astor
Greer
Tatum

Chattercino · 22/05/2020 22:07

Poor kid

Spied · 22/05/2020 22:07

I like Fallon and Astor.
Gage I like but it's a boy's name to me.

NaToth · 22/05/2020 22:08

I know a man called Blaise, is that any good? Would work for a girl I think.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/05/2020 22:08

Harper. Meh, it's fine.
Ocean. I really like, hippy but who cares.
Lilac. A very pretty colour name.
Astor. This sounds too masculine to me. Perhaps Astoria? Though not sure if that has an actual meaning given "Waldorf Astoria"
Scout. Cute literary reference
Blaze. Too try hard
Greer. Just sounds ugly to me, like sneer
Indigo. Pretty like lilac, and actually I prefer it
Bali. People will assume they were conceived here.
Lumen. It's a unit of measurement and reminiscent of a Harry Potter spell...
Holland. Again, conceived there.
Tatum. Not a fan, sounds like you are trying to use a name from another culture (assuming you are white British)
Ace. I agree with PP that this seems like a boys name.
Brighton. Again, reads as place you DTD
Fallon. Only makes me think of Jimmy Fallon.
Teal. I like all the colour ones, this included.
Halston. Again, DTD there.
Collins. My least favourite of all. Do not like at all. A boring surname.
Gage. I feel this is also v masculine.

I'd go with one of the pretty colour names or ocean

Cosyblanky · 22/05/2020 22:12

I know two Harper's in the same class. I know an Ocean who hated her name and changed it. I think Lilac is pretty but know people pronounce it differently, sometimes emphasising the Lac sometimes not.

Blueelephant2020 · 22/05/2020 22:12

I have an adult female relative called Blaise (Blaze) and it suits her perfectly and every one loves her name, she is a professional person.

WhiteWriting · 22/05/2020 22:15

Honestly? With the exception of Lilac they are all rather common and/or too American.

percheron67 · 22/05/2020 22:16

Dear God! I imagine this is a joke? The names sound like the equine inhabitants of our local riding school. Especially Blaze and Scout. I think this sort of name is known as a "Ghetto" name in America.

I do wonder why, if people are so keen on weird names, they don't adopt one themselves and give their poor infant something less remarkable.

user1493494961 · 22/05/2020 22:18

Bloody awful.

MrsCrosbyNRTB · 22/05/2020 22:21

Indigo is ok.
Aster like the plant rather than Astor is also ok.
Maybe Ocean. At a push.

The rest, well, your title is judge my girls names and I’m afraid I am.

masonmason · 22/05/2020 22:21

So much negativity!!

Well yes. The names are awful. Well deserved negativity.

OnYourMarksGetSetBAAAAKE · 22/05/2020 22:23

Lumen is a metabolism app & also a dating website.

Gage is a device used to make measurements.

Are you drunk OP?

sweetnosugar · 22/05/2020 22:23

Harper is lovely!
