When I was at school everyone was Emma, Rachel, Rebecca and a few variants of Katy thrown in. Also quite a few Hollies which is odd. I was born in the 1990s.

None of the girls' names were repeated in primary school. There were several Matthews, Marks, Adams and Simons though. I was born mid-80s.

Also looking forward to being here when I'm 80 and seeing people suggest Karen, Michelle, Claire etc as cool names.

I didn't meet any boys until I went to university in the late 80s. They were called things like Graham, Richard, Simon, Dave, Chris and John.

PissOffStayAtHomeDogMum · 22/05/2020 19:28

I saw my best friend from secondary school for the first time in nearly 30 years and discovered we are both married to a Chris and had named our first son - who are the same age- the same name! In fact out of my group of 6 university friends 3 of us are married to a Chris!

riotlady · 22/05/2020 19:34

I’m 90s too, definitely had plenty of Emma, Rebecca and Katie, lots of Amys and Charlottes too.
