Brother to Everest

Hi all
I have a 2 yo named Everest and we love the name. We call him Evi (Ev-ee) for short.
I’m looking for another unique boy name that’s cool like everest but not one of the growingly popular cool names. Needs to be less known.
We were thinking of Oslo (ozzy as a nn). What do you think of that? My husband worries it sounds like a dogs name though I’ve never heard of a dog named Oslo. Is it too weird?

Any thoughts or other ideas that are unique and strong like everest?

Vesuvius

Fedhimtotigers · 18/04/2020 17:10

I just reread it. He's a boy as well. Poor kid. Why do that.

Flynn999 · 18/04/2020 17:21

Kilamanjaro pretty unique and would be on par with Everest

HannahStern · 18/04/2020 18:14

The obvious are
Sagarmatha
Chomolungma
K2
Kangchenjunga
Lhotse
Makalu
Cho Oyu
Dhaulagiri
Manaslu
Nanga Parbat

But you could go for: Vinson

Imonlymoominafterall · 18/04/2020 18:17

Spudulike.

I love Jumanji for a boy but would never be brave enough to use it! Atlas is cute and sticks to the geographical theme. Grayson is also really nice but think it’s quite American but not too common here

Butteredtoast55 · 18/04/2020 18:24

I don’t know whether people are joking or not anymore....Barnacles? Peso? Tibet? I’m bloody speechless.

MikeUniformMike · 18/04/2020 18:30

My suggestion was serious. Everest is fine, apart from it's another Eve name. It's not offensive or even funny.

I suggested Nile because it sounds nice and it's a bit in the spirit of a theme.
Caspian, the world's largest lake, could be another suggestion.

HotCrossBungle · 18/04/2020 18:33

Turner

finallychangedmyusername · 18/04/2020 18:37

I don't think Everest is THAT shocking as a name as some other posters. I like it, although it's not a name I would use myself.
... anyway OP I think Oslo would fit as a sibling/DB to Everest, and Ozzy is a good nickname.
What would be most surprising to me would be if you were to go from Everest to say Harry or Alfie or John. Grin

Atlas is a great suggestion. Trying to think along similar lines to Everest: Oleander? Hawthorne? Forrest? Canyon? Arrow? Or (these may be too mainstream: Asher, Jasper, River?).

iklboo · 18/04/2020 18:43

Olympus Mons - Oli for short.

Stabbitha · 18/04/2020 18:50

You're all so mean. I like Everest.

Nexus?

LizzieLoafer · 18/04/2020 20:23

Still there OPHmm

FeedMeSantiago · 18/04/2020 20:47

Which pronunciation of Oslo were you planning on OP? The English or the Norwegian?

1forsorrow · 18/04/2020 21:07

Not RTFT but Hyacinth Bucket's BIL was Onslow. No her son was Sheridan, her brother in law was Onslow.

Yes. That's what BIL means.
