Hi all
I have a 2 yo named Everest and we love the name. We call him Evi (Ev-ee) for short.
I’m looking for another unique boy name that’s cool like everest but not one of the growingly popular cool names. Needs to be less known.
We were thinking of Oslo (ozzy as a nn). What do you think of that? My husband worries it sounds like a dogs name though I’ve never heard of a dog named Oslo. Is it too weird?

Any thoughts or other ideas that are unique and strong like everest?

Eddiemairswife you beat me to it. K2 goes perfectly with Everest, Kilimanjaro could work, Kil for short? Or Matterhorn, Matt for short.

Honeyroar · 18/04/2020 12:14

Nepal.
Geneva.

Matt (erhorn).
Base.
Rocky.
Sea.

You can go on and on with these!

Ps, I had a horse called Evi, it was short for Evelina.

I came on to say Atlas would be a suitable name.

Isn't Oslo the name of the brother in law from Keeping up Appearances with Hyacinth Bucket? I thought he was Onslow?

Rocky

Cairngorm

Nevis

Though on second thoughts I would steer clear of mountains actually, it would be a constant source of sibling jealousy that your second born was smaller.

What about other natural phenomena

Glacier

Typhoon

Hurricane

Tsunami

Everest is a surname, that’s why the mountain is so called. I know a couple of people with surname Everest.

For another surname name how about:

Forrest
Hudson
Grayson
Reagan
Woodrow
Stirling
Saxon
Vaughan

It should be illegal to give a child a name that will hinder them throughout life ,talk about starting of with one hand tied your back .
I always think on these types of threads
Don’t you want your child to do well in the world ,to progress ,have a good job.
Why make life an uphill struggle, where your constantly being laughed at or having to explain,
no I wasn’t conceived on the top of Everest.
It’s sad
Life is hard enough
Why add to the stress
