Do you like Peter for a little boy? DGF's name so does also have meaning to us.

Yes, I like it. I find it to be as classic as Anna. Go for it - especially if you have an emotional connection to the name.

PotteringAlong · 07/04/2020 12:19

I like it!

daisypond · 07/04/2020 12:19

Yes

toastofthetown · 07/04/2020 12:21

Peter is a great name. I love the Peter Pan and Narnia associations. It’s not too popular (just inside the top 200), but Peter wouldn’t have any problems with spelling or pronunciation

LuckyMarmiteLover · 07/04/2020 12:21

Yes

Wallabyone · 07/04/2020 12:22

My friend has a two year old Peter, and when we heard we were very surprised, but it's grown on me now. I've taught only one in eleven years.

whitedaisies · 07/04/2020 12:38

I think it sounds a little harsh compared to shortening it to Pete which to me sounds very friendly. I know 2 adult Peters whose partners only call Peter and I sounds like they're permanently cross with them!

TeaMilkNoSugarThanks · 07/04/2020 12:39

I love it. Due for a comeback.

Astronica · 07/04/2020 12:41

Yes I like it. A bit under the radar at the moment, but good classic.

Whatsyourflava · 07/04/2020 12:43

Love it. So underused at the moment. Please help bring it back

ArriettyJones · 07/04/2020 12:44

Lovely name. Nice meaning.

Bezalelle · 07/04/2020 13:01

Lovely name.

fitzbilly · 07/04/2020 13:03

Yes I love it. Hate the nickname Pete which sounds harsh in comparison, but love Peter.

DaffodilsAreMyFav · 07/04/2020 13:07

My favourite boys name! Prefer Peter to Pete.

SilverBangle · 07/04/2020 13:09

Yes. I like traditional names.

BarkandCheese · 07/04/2020 13:09

Love it, it was my grandfather’s name too.

glitterbiscuits · 07/04/2020 13:32

Yes. Classic and underrated and underused

user1477391263 · 07/04/2020 14:18

It sounds a little weak to me.... "peter out" etc. It's not terrible though.

daisypond · 07/04/2020 14:19

It means rock. It’s a strong name.

DramaAlpaca · 07/04/2020 14:21

I really like it.

autumnboys · 07/04/2020 14:21

It was my dad’s name and one of my boys has it as a middle name. I like it a lot.

lessness · 07/04/2020 15:55

Thank you all. It's a lovely name, just wasn't sure it was ready for it's come back but sounds like it is Smile
