Thoughts on Jeffrey

I've been thinking alot about Jeffrey lately. Yes it's a bit dated, but I still think it's a lovely name and Jeff could be quite cool in a retro chic kinda way, no?

Thoughts?

Fine. Refreshing change from the trendy names.

NoSauce · 28/02/2020 14:14

No, it’s dreadful.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 28/02/2020 14:17

Awful.
Wears brown slacks slightly too short for him and has a combover. Wet hands and a serial killer fantasy.

neddle · 28/02/2020 14:26

Giraffe.
No.

Skyejuly · 28/02/2020 14:28

I really donr like it. It strikes me as anorak wearing creepy.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 28/02/2020 14:37

Sounds really wet to me....

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 28/02/2020 14:38

Ok for a cat...

johnwayneisbigleggy · 28/02/2020 14:39

Nylon suit wearing geography teacher from my school days. Not good

WarIsPeace · 28/02/2020 14:39

Are you expecting to birth a 62 year old post office manager?

SymphonyofShadows · 28/02/2020 14:40

Epstein

mackerella · 28/02/2020 14:41

DD was at nursery with a Jeffrey who would be about 7 now. His family were from Nigeria, which I think gives it a different context from the geography teacher in nylon slacks one?

Nquartz · 28/02/2020 14:42

Instantly reminds me of the old Toys R Us adverts.... "millions of Jeffries all under under one roof" (was never sure if the actual lyrics)

But depending on your age you might have no clue what I'm talking about Grin

PlantPotting · 28/02/2020 14:45

Epstein and Jeff the paedo in coronation street put me off

SpeedofaSloth · 28/02/2020 15:04

Giraffe here, too.

Also DS falls about laughing when he hears the name Jeff, think it's from Teen Titans Go possibly.

IntermittentParps · 28/02/2020 15:09

I quite like it, especially spelled that way rather than Geoffrey.

Do it and challenge the slacks slightly too short/wet hands/nylon suit stereotype!

MaidenMotherCrone · 28/02/2020 15:13

Our local undertaker... Jeff the death. ( Welsh posters will understand Wink)

GeraltOfRivia · 28/02/2020 15:21

I love Geoffrey. It was my dads name and he was the best man I've ever known.

Ukholidaysaregreat · 28/02/2020 15:23

I think it's a great name.

KatherineJaneway · 28/02/2020 15:25

Big no from me

DoctorBambino · 28/02/2020 15:44

I like the nickname Jeffy, makes me think of the family circus cartoons.

Mamabear88 · 28/02/2020 15:58

Not keen

Aquamarine1029 · 28/02/2020 15:59

Hate it.

SirVixofVixHall · 28/02/2020 16:00

I love it.

Dora26 · 28/02/2020 16:01

Epstein

Singingatmidnight · 28/02/2020 16:02

It's fine, I only know older ones but they're nice and there's nothing wrong with it.
