I have never heard of it. Not a fan either tbh. It sounds like a surname, if anything.

Reminds me of The Little White Horse - but I don't think I'd name a modern day baby after her.

I'm in Cornwall so it's normal here. Not that common but no-one raises an eyebrow when they hear it.

There was a character called Loveday in the Rosamund Pilcher book Nancherrow wasn’t there? That was set in Cornwall. I wouldn’t like it for my name, although I did once meet a woman of about twenty called Loveday.

I really love the book and like the name.

I was at school with a girl called Loveday and she would roll her eyes and say “parents are Cornish”. She did carry it off though, she was friendly and jolly. Harder if you’re a bit of a grump I suppose.
