Just that really :) 32 weeks and struggling! Middle name will be Andrew.

wizzler · 26/01/2020 22:37

I like them both. Prefer Freddie

Jesskir89 · 26/01/2020 22:40

@wizzler thank you :) I was a little worried its too similar to Andrew 'freddie' Flintoff as we're having Andrew as a middle name after dh grandad

NewMe2020 · 26/01/2020 22:43

Reggie is a bit prison dad

Jesskir89 · 26/01/2020 22:47

@newme2020 that's a first! I've had it sounds like a kray

I'm sorry, I really dislike both. I don't like cutesy 'ie' ending names on boys, and Reggie has such an ugly look and sound. Freddie is better, but I'd put Frederick on the birth cert to give him a more dignified name which he might prefer as an adult.

I absolutely love Andrew, though.

DickDewy · 26/01/2020 22:50

Both terrible.

MrsEricBana · 26/01/2020 22:50

Freddie here too

Jesskir89 · 26/01/2020 22:51

@dramaAlpaca I appreciate your opinion. Dh wanted Andrew but figured he would be called Andy which he didn't want. It will be one of the 2 above but just unsure which

Chilver · 26/01/2020 22:52

Full names on birth cert, shorten to what you like. Prefer Freddie myself.

Jesskir89 · 26/01/2020 22:53

@dickdewy I didn't ask people to tell me they don't like them I'm asking people which name they prefer as I will be having one of them but thanks for your opinion :)

Nogodsnomasters · 26/01/2020 22:53

Can't say I like either one, sorry.

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/01/2020 22:54

Kray or Krueger?

Jossina · 26/01/2020 22:54

Neither, unless it's Reginald and Frederick.

pooopypants · 26/01/2020 22:54

Neither

NameChange30 · 26/01/2020 22:57

Reggie as in Reginald? Either way no Confused

Freddie is ok but please put Frederick or just Fred on the birth certificate.

iusedtoloveopalfruits1 · 26/01/2020 22:58

My DS is called Freddie!
Decided not to put Frederick on the birth certificate as it was too long with the middle names.

Jesskir89 · 26/01/2020 22:59

@namechange30 it would be just reggie or freddie because people always shorten names so would prefer a shorter version that we like for example Frederick could become Fred but we prefer freddie

@iusedtoloveopalfruits1 lovely name :) lol

NameChange30 · 26/01/2020 23:04

A cutesy nickname is not an adult name though is it. It's a name you give to a child or a pet.

LouisaJenny · 26/01/2020 23:04

I love Reggie and would use it if I have a son.

LadyGAgain · 26/01/2020 23:05

Dislike both but Reggie is worse.

Jesskir89 · 26/01/2020 23:06

@namechange30 no I agree but he would still have the option to be Fred or reg when he's older if he prefers :)

OP posts:
NameChange30 · 26/01/2020 23:08

Yeah but his passport would have his baby name on it Confused

Jossina · 27/01/2020 01:11

Who says everyone would call him Freddie if his name were Frederick? Maybe he's more of an Erick.

Mumma4262 · 27/01/2020 06:05

I prefer Freddie, it was one of our favourites with DS1. But I would have spelt it Freddy. I like the names like Freddy, Lenny, Franky with “y’s“.

Best of luck choosing Smile
