Just curious what people think of the name Louisa? What would you associate with this name?

Suggestions for middle names?

I love it. Only reason I didn't choose it was because I didn't like the nickname Lou and I was worried everyone would use that.

I have a Luisa Rosa (Spanish spelling as husband is Spanish). We have had lots of compliments. I've only met one other Louisa.

AdoptedBumpkin · 14/01/2020 20:28

First thought is Doc Martin's wife!

Personal view. Wouldn't choose it myself, but not awful.

I love, love, love Louisa. It's pretty, suits an infant/child/teenager/adult, what's not to love?!

Wheresthebiffer2 · 14/01/2020 20:30

Lovely name! Such a grower name too.
People may call her Lou for short?

Redonion123 · 14/01/2020 20:35

twinkledag · 14/01/2020 20:35

Beautiful! I knew one spelt Luisa when I was younger.

It's lovely

Jamhandprints · 14/01/2020 20:40

I like it, it sounds classic, not dated. I love the spanish version Luisa too but that could look like a misspelling I suppose. It needs a modern middle name though.

Thatsfinethenchick · 14/01/2020 20:46

Love it

redexpat · 14/01/2020 20:48

@MikeUniformMike I take it you didn’t like my suggestion then! I was only trying to help. No need for that. But anyway.... Back on topic

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 14/01/2020 20:55

Absolutely gorgeous name. Love it.

IdleBet · 14/01/2020 20:57

Louisa is lovely.

Eloise is a totally different name.

daisypond · 14/01/2020 21:28

I really like it. Definitely not Elouisa, which is ridiculous.

Glittercandle · 14/01/2020 21:31

Louisa is a lovely name.

Louisa Elizabeth
Louisa Emma

Patrina55 · 14/01/2020 21:35

It’s my DD2’’s name so obviously I think it is lovely ! She has only encountered two problems- people who think it’s Louise, meaning she has to correct with an ‘ah, it’s Louise -ah ‘ and, when she was younger, personalised keepsakes like key rings etc ( the sort of thing you find on display racks in souvenir shops ) never had her name.

pilates · 14/01/2020 21:38

Love it
