None in primary or secondary.
My name is a lot more popular now and tend to see a lot of much younger people with my name.

BuffaloCauliflower · 04/01/2020 16:02

None, never another person with my name in any of my school’s at the same time as me. Until recently I was the only person with my name to have gone to my infant school. But it’s the sort of name where most people around know one or two. When I started my graduate job a lot of colleagues my age knew someone with my name before me.

DHs name even less common. I’ve only ever met one other, he’s never met another with his name in this country.

MyNewBearTotoro · 04/01/2020 16:03

In primary school none in my year but there were a girl in the year below and another a few years younger. But was a small school with maybe only 60 girls or so.

In secondary school there was another girl in my year (out of around 100 girls).

BuffaloCauliflower · 04/01/2020 16:03

Should add I think it’s more prevalent in posh circles, most of my grad colleagues were from a certain strata, from which I am not

franke · 04/01/2020 16:03

Only one, in primary school (in the 70s). There were six Sarahs in my class at one point.

Lozza70 · 04/01/2020 16:04

Two other girls with the same first name as me in my form class and unbelievably two girls with the same first name and surname as me in the school🤷‍♀️ Neither of my kids have anyone in school with the same name as them thank goodness!

motortroll · 04/01/2020 16:04

2 in my year at secondary school. My name is Lucy so quite classic and still reasonably popular.

Nogodsnomasters · 04/01/2020 16:04

None in primary school and only 1 in my whole secondary school, we weren't in the same year. My name is not very popular.

YappityYapYap · 04/01/2020 16:05

None in primary or secondary and have also never worked with anyone of the same name or know anyone personally with the same name. I know there's other people with the same name but I don't know them. It's not a very common name to be honest but someone was on here a couple of weeks a go asking about the name for their baby 😁

motortroll · 04/01/2020 16:05

My kids all have moons in their school with the same name!

cricketmum84 · 04/01/2020 16:05

None! I have quite a unique name and have never met another person with my name in the flesh. It's great to feel a bit special but nobody ever seems to know how to spell or pronounce it lol.

It's a bit American and there is a famous film character with my name and an English soap actress but that's about it!

Spied · 04/01/2020 16:06

None in primary
One in my year at secondary.
Suprising as it's a popular name of it's time.

puds11 · 04/01/2020 16:06

None in primary, secondary, college, university. Have met 2 professionally.

sue51 · 04/01/2020 16:09

None.

maddiemookins16mum · 04/01/2020 16:10

One. But I now work in an office Of 50 people where there are three of us and it’s not a common name for anyone under 50 (although a very popular middle name in the 80’s and 90’s).

Notnowokay · 04/01/2020 16:12

No one shared my name. It is an unusual name, but I loved it very much until I reached adulthood and realised it was cute when young. But it doesn’t age well, or I got feed up with constantly correcting people’s pronunciation. Because even after correcting them about a quarter of them will get it wrong.

StuntNun · 04/01/2020 16:12

None. I've never met anyone or know of anyone famous with the same name as me.

1990shopefulftm · 04/01/2020 16:12

none. I've spoken to many people on the phone at work with my name but only met one other person with my name.

Medicaltextbook · 04/01/2020 16:13

None - foreign name (to UK). No one knows how to spell it. I wasn’t in story books(might be now). It bothered me so I just called myself something else at nursery. My parents didn’t know until they got party invitations to Anne.

NotYourHun · 04/01/2020 16:14

1 other in my large-ish primary, none at secondary.

It’s very popular now though.

megletthesecond · 04/01/2020 16:14

4 in my class at secondary.
Huge pain in the arse.

My dc's have more individual names.

80sstyle · 04/01/2020 16:14

Only one at secondary school. Met lots in the workplace over the years for some reason although it’s not a particularly popular name.

Boireannachlaidir · 04/01/2020 16:15

None - from primary through to university.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 04/01/2020 16:18

A levels - 3 of us out of 60
University - 2 out of approx 100 at my college
A job 10 years ago - 3 out of an office of around 20. We used to refer to each other by our surnames.

Chesneyhawkes1 · 04/01/2020 16:18
