A bit random I know but sometimes I hear a surname and think 'ooh, that's a good one'!

Mine is pretty comical but definitely could be worse... though if I could choose, I'd go for Cathcart or Brocklebank!

What would you pick?

I love my surname, also love my maiden name.

Gives my son a very beautiful (imo) sounding name so I’m happy 😂

I think there is a footballer called Cathcart, and obviously it's a character in Catch 22.
I saw Brocklebank on the side of a truck once (!) and just thought it sounded cool! 🙂

I knew a Twelvetrees, Alabaster and a Galliano. Also knew a Miss J Bond. But my favourite was an old gravestone I saw a few years ago for a Johnny Flowerbuttons. I'd bloody love to be Mrs Flowerbuttons.

I like Jones. No, seriously. As long as I have a very unusual first name, which I don't. If Stafori was my real name, I'd be happy with Stafori Jones. Unique.

Loved my maiden name as very unusual...to the point anyone who shares the surname is a relative!

I had an English teacher with the surname Truelove, she then got married and became Rowbottom. I think they were both brilliant surnames!!!

As a child I used to wish I had the surname Marvell or Merivale. They were the names of characters in a book I loved as a child & sounded so much more romantic to me than my own, quite ugly, surname.

Actually, DH has a great surname. I liked it so much better than my own that I decided to change to his when we got married. I almost certainly wouldn't have done if he'd had a horrible name.

I've always loved 'birdy' surnames names: Partridge, Starling, Peacock, Swan, Sparrow etc.
