I've liked this name for a girl since the start of my pregnancy.

I've only got a few weeks left and I really like it again now.

What's everyone's thoughts?
I don't want to get flamed for saying the word because I'm by no means judgemental or posh at all but does it come across a bit chavvy?

If you are a celebrity, you can get away with it
How about Sylvia or similar? You can call her Silver as a pet name.

@Cordial11 I was watching 90210 for the first time when I found out I was pregnant so it was one of the first names I loved from watching that regularly!!!!!

I like Sylvie which is a very similar sound but is actually a name. I would not name a child Silver.

Are you giving birth to a horse?

No, that's a silly name. Actually it's not a name at all. Unless you're a horse or something.

I’ve met a child with Silva as a middle name, also know people called Selva, Silvie, and Silvia. Silver isn’t too different to any of them so I’d say go for it!

How about the welsh name Arian - means Silver, (you could change to Arianne, Arianna) and you could legitimately anglicise to Silver as a nickname.... (so one official name and one 'known as' name)

but in 90210 silvers real name was erin, silver was her surname

Yeah...unless you’re giving birth to a horse Silver is utterly ridiculous. You can of course call your child what you like, but they will be utterly miserable with that name.
