Should I call my baby Mason Or Rhys?
DramaAlpaca · 21/10/2019 01:33
Well, it's up to you isn't it?
If it was me, I'd go for Rhys. It's much nicer than Mason, which is a surname & not nice as a first name.
QueenofPain · 21/10/2019 01:35
Neither, Mason and Reece are both naughty boys names.
Rhys is alright if you’re welsh, I guess.
PointlessUsername · 21/10/2019 01:36
Neither are my taste but of the two i would pick Rhys.
InkyFingersInkyFace · 21/10/2019 01:42
I like Mason, but there's also Macsen (it's Welsh like Rhys) if you don't mind the suggestion
7salmonswimming · 21/10/2019 01:50
If the boy’s not Welsh, I wouldn’t call him Rhys.
But then, Welsh or not, I wouldn’t call him Mason either.
Sorry. Not much help
watermelon21 · 21/10/2019 02:05
I’d keep thinking of other options
MissHenty · 21/10/2019 15:38
I really like mason x
Shadow1234 · 21/10/2019 15:45
Out of the two I prefer Rhys/Reece.
Wolfiefan · 21/10/2019 15:48
Rhys if you’re Welsh. Neither of you’re not.
Clettercletterthatsbetter · 21/10/2019 16:08
Rhys.
reginafelangee · 21/10/2019 16:09
Rhys
Spied · 21/10/2019 16:11
Rhys of the two.
sadmum13 · 21/10/2019 16:31
@InkyFingersInkyFace thank you I will consider x
Pemba · 21/10/2019 16:47
Not Mason, because it's a job. Or a surname.
Rhys is nice.
ButterflyOfFreedom · 21/10/2019 16:55
Rhys.
Leflic · 21/10/2019 16:58
What are you hoping for with those names? What sort of son do see having those names. I’m intrigued as a) they are both naughty both names and b) Rhys is quite an old name whilst Mason is a newer one.
Pinkbonbon · 21/10/2019 17:03
Mason is nice.
Rhys genuinely makes me cringe every tine i see it. Which is a lot. Like at least spell it Reese. Then it's the name of Malcolm in the middles naught brother xD
OtraCosaMariposa · 21/10/2019 17:03
No you shouldn't.
happy97 · 21/10/2019 17:05
Or Oject or Vault
Chickoletta · 21/10/2019 17:05
Mason is a surname and a bit chavvy IMO. Rhys is lovely if you’re Welsh.
lookingforahappyplace · 21/10/2019 17:07
Rhys is a much nicer spelling.
The4ks · 21/10/2019 17:16
Never really liked Mason but don't know why.
Rhys is nice.
Wheat2Harvest · 21/10/2019 17:20
Depends on what your surname is. A surname beginning with S wouldn't go well with Rhys - something like Rhys Simpson would roll into 'Reesimpson'.
If the surname isn't an issue I prefer Rhys.
HalfBloodPrincess · 21/10/2019 17:55
Congratulations on the birth of your son! Is he your first child? If not, what are his siblings called?
I like both names - I picture a little boy with curly blonde hair when I think of the name Mason, and Rhys is the name of one of my cousins children - a strapping rugby playing lad who is the life and soul of the party.
If you're unsure why not call him by each name for a few days and see which feels more natural.
Ontheblackhill · 21/10/2019 18:14
Rhys is a fine Welsh name and Mason is a job. Rhys is the only sane choice.
