Boy/girl twins. What goes with....

Max.

We thought we had two girls. So had kind of matchy style names (Camille and Claudia) in the pipeline.

Neither of those is the girls' name I love, but I kind of didn't mind because there were two, so it wouldn't be like one had my favourite name over the other. I like both the names, but no more than like.

Now it's turned out they're definitely boy/girl. So the boy will be Max. And I can't think of anything I like other than the name I can't have, now it's only one girls name I need. (It's been what my daughter has always been called in my head for the last 20yrs, and literally a year ago, this bitch who's connected directly to our family stole it, and yes I am fucking bitter) Spam me with names that go with Max please. Help me find something I love...

I think Honor is a more common spelling. Honoree (with an accent) and Honorine are different French derivatives of the same name and both lovely too.

What about Delphine? I like the French Aurelie better than Aurelia if you would like a French name. I've met an Aurelie-Anne (with the names eliding into each other so it sounds like one name and an Aurelie-Laure. Or Manon or Maelys?

Hmm

Texted bff... "Thoughts on: Honour. Max"

The "honour max" is a Huawei phone apparently.

Honoureen

If you like Honor as a curveball - then other virtue names: Hope, Hero, Faith, Joy, Prudence nn Prue.

Icantreachthepretzels · 21/09/2019 00:04

or Justine - which has the 'ine' sound of 'Evangeline'

I really feel for you OP and understand where you are coming from.

I do think, basically, any name goes with Max (love that name btw).

The name that springs to my mind is Isabella, but feel it won’t float your boat?

If the name has already been "stolen", why can't we know what it was? Would help in suggesting alternatives.

Honor is a great name. It usually doesn’t have the U in it. The name of some unheard of mobile phone won’t matter. And you can refer to them as Max and Honor, not Honor and Max.

Max and Xanthe?

Beatrice has reminded me I liked Eugenie. Is it too unique to Princess, I can't think of anyone else with that name, and it is quite distinctive.
