Boy/girl twins. What goes with....

Max.

We thought we had two girls. So had kind of matchy style names (Camille and Claudia) in the pipeline.

Neither of those is the girls' name I love, but I kind of didn't mind because there were two, so it wouldn't be like one had my favourite name over the other. I like both the names, but no more than like.

Now it's turned out they're definitely boy/girl. So the boy will be Max. And I can't think of anything I like other than the name I can't have, now it's only one girls name I need. (It's been what my daughter has always been called in my head for the last 20yrs, and literally a year ago, this bitch who's connected directly to our family stole it, and yes I am fucking bitter) Spam me with names that go with Max please. Help me find something I love...

Elodie has the "Elle" sound too much.

It's a definite no to anything with an "Elle" so Penelope would be out, Helen, Ella, Elena...

I do still really love the original name. I'm trying to put myself off it but I can't. 20yrs of visualising my daughter being "her" and nothing else is too engrained. It's almost like trying to change my own name now. Or my mother's. Anything else just isn't right.

My best friend suggested to think of it like it's been tainted now. How can it be a beautiful name any more, think of it more as the name women like that call their daughters. Which does help slightly, in a weird way.

So. Names that are French/girly/Russian/similar to Evangeline....

I'm an identical twin and I don't get why you want matchy names. It's just weird. Let them individual unique names. It's so hard being a twin for a whole heap of identity reasons.

Suggesting you speak to someone isn't a slight - it's just horrible feeling so angry and seems a shame it could cloud your feelings about your precious twins, esp your daughter if she doesn't have the name you want.

You like Evangeline, Claudia, Camille.

What about:

Apolline
Genevieve
Athena
Cleophee
Emmeline
Clementine
Clemency
Josephine
Cecile
Theodora
Celeste
Marguerite
Capucine
Amandine
Ombeline

I think Camille is the nicest tbh though!
