Boy/girl twins. What goes with....

Max.

We thought we had two girls. So had kind of matchy style names (Camille and Claudia) in the pipeline.

Neither of those is the girls' name I love, but I kind of didn't mind because there were two, so it wouldn't be like one had my favourite name over the other. I like both the names, but no more than like.

Now it's turned out they're definitely boy/girl. So the boy will be Max. And I can't think of anything I like other than the name I can't have, now it's only one girls name I need. (It's been what my daughter has always been called in my head for the last 20yrs, and literally a year ago, this bitch who's connected directly to our family stole it, and yes I am fucking bitter) Spam me with names that go with Max please. Help me find something I love...

Ariadne? Athena? Fact is you could imagine two daughters with other names, but now, apparently you cannot. Can't see why you would want two daughters not to have "the" name, but not one.

Because two daughters, neither can be "Evangeline" because I'd not want one to have my life long daughters name, and the other to have essentially, any other name that crops up. I'd feel like I favouritised one by giving that name over the other. So with two turning up together, much more simple. Its not fair at all for one to have it and one not, so it's then just picking two names I don't mind for the pair, so they are "equally" named.

One. Well now it's back to my only daughter. And she's only ever had one name.

Anna? Alice?

Or just use Claudia, it's beautiful and goes really well with Max.

When you meet them the name thing won't seem to matter as much. Maybe wait and see what suits her. I have an Anna and it wasn't a name I would have chosen until I met her and it just seemed to suit her. They just become the name they have, you might find you prefer the 'new' name after all once its attached to your baby. I agree there is no way you can use the favourite name so try and let it go with good grace. (Assume it's not grace!!)

Max and Daisy is what I like, but I don't know that it will be to your tastes.

CarefullyDrawnMap · 20/09/2019 23:06

I think Honour would be great. It's really cool, goes well with Max, great vibe to it. Beautiful and kind of heroic too.
