What do you think of Clover for a girl? Do you think it works on an adult?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Love it 🍀

whereshalligo · 03/06/2019 15:33

It's ok but more of an animal name in my opinion

Susannach · 03/06/2019 15:33

Ooh good start!

Love it. Reminds me of one of my favourite books as a kid, What Katy Did. Classic.

historysock · 03/06/2019 15:34

Love it. Know one in really life-she is lovely

PotteringAlong · 03/06/2019 15:35

Love it! Also know 1, also lovely

DuchessSybilVimes · 03/06/2019 15:35

She'd have a lifetime of explaining it. I would imagine, "No, Clover, as in four-leaf" would become tiresome after the 100th time!

Susannach · 03/06/2019 15:36

Why would she need to explain it?

Not a fan
More like a pet lambs name

daisypond · 03/06/2019 15:36

I like it.

TheVandalsTookTheHandles · 03/06/2019 15:38

I think it's a rabbit's name.

Untamedtoad · 03/06/2019 15:41

I do like it, but also think it sounds a bit like an animal/pet name, but then again I have a Tabitha so I can't really talk, as everyone says it's a cat's name 😂! It does also remind me of the butter too 😬 x

DharmaInitiativeLady · 03/06/2019 15:41

It's a major margarine brand...

NabooThatsWho · 03/06/2019 15:42

Cows name.

Untamedtoad · 03/06/2019 15:43

She'd probably get called "Clo" alot, which is sweet, like when people shorten Chloe.

Minkies11 · 03/06/2019 15:45

Absolutely love it. So sweet and quite unusual. Makes me think of sunny days and blue skies Smile

BlueMerchant · 03/06/2019 15:45

No. A cow and butter.

Cardboardeaux · 03/06/2019 15:46

Sounds more like a pet's name to me... How about Flora? I met an adult Blossom once - it really suited her (quirky/arty type)

DuchessSybilVimes · 03/06/2019 15:48

Oh I love the name Chloe. Due a revival I think.

alltheflowerfairies · 03/06/2019 15:50

No explaining needed

I've got a Clover. We joke about the margarine in the supermarket occasionally but that's about it!

Her sister is named after rubber gloves - the world didn't stop turning when we did that either Wink

sincethereis · 03/06/2019 15:50

No, sorry.

It’s a brand of butter in the uk!
It’s used a lot for cows and lamb names!

It’s pretty otherwise but I wouldn’t give that to a child

Peachbubble · 03/06/2019 15:50

I like it

outreach29 · 03/06/2019 15:59

It;s a no from me as I knew a fine horse called Clover. To me it's an animal's name or a brand of margarine.

Predestined00 · 03/06/2019 16:23

It's horrible. I'd hate to be a grown woman called clover.

tessiegirl · 03/06/2019 16:25

I like different names usually but this is a name I would give to a golden retriever...
