Girl name: Clover?

What do you think of Clover for a girl? Do you think it works on an adult?

My immediate thought is 'What Katy Did'. I quite like it, it's sweet without being cutesy. I can't say I'd like to be called Clover myself, though.

To me it is a bit of an animal name too, sorry - because of the horse in Animal Farm, which lots of kids read at school.

I'm not sure I'd like to be called Clover particularly, but maybe if I was an arty type I would. Chloe is one of my favourites, though.

Sorry first thing I think is the butter spread followed by a popular name for a cow.

I know about the butter spread but I don’t think it’s a huge issue. Flora I also love and that’s quite popular despite the spread.

@DramaAlpaca Yes, I first heard it as a name in the Katy books! I thought Clover was a great character and the name has always stuck with me.

Easy enough for most people to understand I’d have thought?

I gave both my kids nice middle names which they could use if they disliked their first name. It’s not been necessary, but it’s an easy enough solution if your unsure.

I’m a nature lover and thought about plant names, but I didn’t think of clover, which is a shame, it’s lovely.

I had a chubby cream guinea pig called Clover when I was younger. She was scrummy

Lovely - my daughter is a Willow also a butter and an animal name apparently- no issues here! Clover is really pretty!
