George, Louis or Archie

As the new royal baby is called Archie even though it isn't a regal name, I was wondering out of the queens great grandsons what peoples favourite name out of the three is.

George I guess. Not a big fan of any myself but if I'd been Kate or Meghan, George would have won it.

I really like Archie, we considered it for DS2 (who’s 3 months old now so am very glad that we didn’t). But George is my favourite, it’s so handsome and is my favourite boys name ever, but it doesn’t go with our surnameAngry. I really don’t like Louis for some reason

George
Archie
Louis
Archie is fine but I wish they'd gone the whole hog and gone with Archibald, Archie for short.
I've loved George since I was 12, 36 years ago, it was an old man's name then.

George
Louis

Archie

goody, another Archie thread.

Archie
Louis
George

I like both Archie and Louis, but prefer Archie because that was the name of our first boat. Happy memories.

George
Louis

Archie/ Archibald

MariaNovella · 09/05/2019 06:24

George. I’ve always loved it, even when it was deeply unfashionable - it was my father’s second name and, had I had a boy, he would have been called George.

foxtiger · 09/05/2019 11:21

George is my favourite by a long way (in fact it is one of DS2's middle names). Louis and Archie are... not really my thing, but I've heard worse.

Redact · 09/05/2019 11:23

George but then I'm biased Wink

Ex28 · 09/05/2019 11:55

I like George. Not too keen on Louis or Archie but they’re not terrible.

Sophronia · 09/05/2019 11:56

George

NataliaOsipova · 09/05/2019 11:57

George. By a mile!

Sparklysunflower · 09/05/2019 11:58

None of them are to my taste but I'd probably choose George and Louis way before Archie or Archibald!

Lllot5 · 09/05/2019 11:59

My ex husband is George so that’s put me off! I like Louis best.

bluebabydinosaur · 09/05/2019 12:12

George

turtlesone · 09/05/2019 12:20

Louis

Icklepup · 09/05/2019 13:06

Definitely George

RuthW · 09/05/2019 15:30

George definitely.

Archie is a nick name (Archibald is fine) and Louie/Louis always should like it should be a nick name.

Lewis is slightly better.

HairyToity · 09/05/2019 15:47

Louis. Also like Archie. Not so keen on the name George.

Sessy19 · 09/05/2019 15:48

I find George terribly insipid. Just bleugh... I’m always super surprised when someone excitedly announces their own ‘George’, as if it’s very clever or unique.

Louis is nice enough.

Archie is just.... I don’t know....also pretty boring.

Good job I’m not naming boys...😂😂😂

Calixtine · 09/05/2019 16:13

Louis is my favourite.

dolphin50 · 10/05/2019 03:07

If i was a royal I think I would have gone for James, Charlie, Sam or Alfie. I think Diana did really well with naming William and Harry as they are regal but also don't make you naturally think of the royals and don't stand out in a classroom with Royal connotations like George and Arthur do even though I love George though.

George.

Louis is ok but not to my taste.

Not Archie by a mile - I really don’t like just nicknames as first names.

If we’re going regal, I also love Harry, Alfred, Charles and Albert.

zen1 · 10/05/2019 03:18

Louis. I quite like Archie as well, but don’t like George. George has always felt a boring name to me.

50shadesofgreyrock · 10/05/2019 03:20

My dog is called Archie. We call him Chichi, largely ironically (think giant mean thing called Fluffy). Dd is now calling him Prince Chichi. He is more mortified than usual.

Ds is George. We had him first, so I suppose George, then Archie. I wouldn’t do Louis (too much king of the swingers stuff).
