That happens to me @ItsalmostSummer. ‘Thanks’ is often a suggestion above ‘Done’ on my phone. Maybe it’s the same for yours?

Thanks is nothing compared to the app making me spam!

Lol GirlRaisedintheSouth, also has it just started suggesting this for you? I seem to do this way more than I should these days.
Graphista I’m always worried what actually posts when I post online. Anything can spring up with the cut and paste Grin. Thankfully I don’t use the app. It would probably be a disaster.

Sam Sussex has a certain ring to it.

I'm thinking Oscar, Oliver, Jack, Felix? Classic but with a modern edge.

I hope they will have something a bit less 'Royal' like Zara Tindall did with Mia and Lena.

I really hope the name is not just a list of Harry’s relatives (Charles Philip etc). As this baby won’t be a Prince now, and maybe not ever depending on whether M&H want to emulate Prince Andrew or not (and you’d suspect not) I hope the name is just slightly more interesting and less sycophantic.

Hopefully nothing on my list!

Aidan has been suggested elsewhere - an anagram of Diana?

I think Spencer and Henry (but not nicknamed Harry) are good shouts, maybe both of them together. I'd personally like it to be something a bit different to the usual royal names but think maybe along the lines of...

Alexander Henry Spencer

Spencer Henry Arthur

Edward Henry Spencer

"but can you have two Prince Charles at the same time?" Correct me if I'm wrong but he won't be a prince I don't think as not directly in line for the crown?

He's not, but AFAIK it's up to the Queen whether or not he has a title as a prince. So Princess Anne turned titles down for Peter and Zara, but Prince Andrew accepted them for Beatrice and Eugenie. I kind of presume that they'll accept it if it's offered.

@Tavannach

I think automatically the grandchildren of the sovereign are entitled only. W&K’s children were given as line of succession but that was announced before they were born, so unlikely in this instance. I guess Baby Sussex is eligible once Charles is monarch but I assume they won’t take the title. Edward styles his children Earl and Lady, Anne didn’t want titles of any sort.. it’s only pompous Andrew who took them for his children and I think having Princess round their necks is rather a hindrance for Beatrice and Eugenie.

Ladymargarethall · 07/05/2019 10:57

I think Beatrice and Eugenie rather like being princesses actually.
Spencer would be good, but does Harry have a good relationship with the current Earl Spencer? Might make a difference.
Alexander is quite a good choice, with Spencer as a second name.

In fact it is only the male-line grandchildren who are entitled. Anne's children would never have been Prince/Princess but could have been styled as children of an Earl if Mark Phillips had accepted such a title (he didn't).

Louise and James are entitled to the style of Prince/Princess but a decision was made not to use it.

It might be slightly odd if Harry's son is not given princely status (by letters patent) given that he is 7th in line to the throne and the three immediately below him (Andrew, Eugenie and Beatrice) are all styled as prince/princess.

*Andrew, Beatrice & Eugenie is the correct order, of course.

Yeah but there are other random Princes down the line of succession - Prince Michael for instance, God knows what number he is. The plan is to streamline the monarchy and Beatrice and Eugenie as princesses but yet non working royals are unusual.
I think it would already have been announced if this one was going to be a Prince. Pretty sure there was no surprise with George, Charlotte and Louis.
Question will be whether this one upgrades when Charles succeeds. I’d be surprised if Meghan and Harry chose to make this one a Prince whenever it is that Charles becomes King.

Harry and Megan's son is not entitled to use HRH that title only extends to the grandchildren of the sovereign.
However once the Queen dies he will become an HRH as the grandchild of Charles who will be reigning monarch.
The Queen I think amended the letters patent to include all children of William
and Kate were entitled to use HRH which is why Charlotte is a Princess and not a Lady.

Tretchikoff · 07/05/2019 14:14

Just as Zara and Peter Phillips were entitled to become HRH as grandchildren of the Queen.
Those titles were refused by Princess Anne as is her right.

They weren't, only grandchildren of the male line are entitled. Princess Ann didn't refuse the title prince/princess for her children, her husband declined the Queen's offer to create him an Earl.
