So, here it is, the fourth(!!!) Guessing Game baby names thread. Shock

All credit to @scotstar for creating the game, back in March 2018. Can't believe how far we've come!

Previous threads here:

1: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3189874-guessing-game

2: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3207745-Guessing-game-II

3: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3262724-Guessing-game-III?pg=1ℴ=

The game is simple. Guess the name the poster is describing, then it's your turn! Make the clues as fiendish as you like. Grin

All are welcome to join in! @FintyTin, @Ladywillpower, @LadyGAgain and @DuggeeHugs, come join! (Plus others I've forgotten)

And since @Ladywillpower correctly guessed @FintyTin's last clue, this is @Ladywillpower**'s latest clue:

This old German name opened Pandora's box in 1929. Her royal connections meant that she waltzed off to one of the Channel Islands with the Doctor.

@Clettercletterthatsbetter has guessed Clara!

I'm so confused! @Ladywillpower won the 'Sandy' thread but I see @TheGirlWhoLived is posting the clues? Have you name changed?

Ladywillpower · 02/09/2019 08:09

I'm still here under my usual moniker 😁.
Came on to post a clue & found someone had beaten me to it (I don't mind at all btw).
Explanation of " Alexandra clue".
Princess Alexandra (married to Edward V11)
North London clue Alexandra Palace.
South London clue Alexandra (Binky) Felstead from made in Chelsea.
Alexandra Burke was mentored by Cheryl on the X Factor.

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/09/2019 14:17

Oh no I just jumped on in- I was last on the first guessing game thread when it was a complete free for all! I didnt realise we had rules and all now Grin

Please ignore me and I’ll try and guess ladywillpowers clue! Sorry for jumping the gun

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/09/2019 14:23

(That reads as a bit snarky, it honestly wasn’t meant like that- I really am apologising Blush)

LadyGAgain · 02/09/2019 22:48

Nah! @TheGirlWhoLived we're gonna guess your latest one 😊. This is a fun game for everyone and we aren't precious.

Getting thinking head on.

LadyGAgain · 02/09/2019 22:51

I'm guessing Annabelle? Like Annabel Karmel, Annabelle the horror movie and I have no idea about the club as I'm not cool Grin

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/09/2019 23:54

Haha the club was Annabels so yea Grin I shall sit on my laurels now and patiently wait Smile

TheGirlWhoLived · 03/09/2019 08:09

The only nightclub the queen has been to allegedly (hence nightclub for One)

LadyGAgain · 03/09/2019 21:10

The Queen is DEFINITELY cooler than me Grin

Playground teasing about police cars make this pretty ballerina sad but is she Russian, Spanish, Scandinavian or Indian?

finallychangedmyusername · 03/09/2019 21:55

Nina? Grin

LadyGAgain · 03/09/2019 22:10

Dammit 😂😂. Well done!!

finallychangedmyusername · 04/09/2019 14:23

Don't sulk if you don't get this clue straight away; maybe you'll find romance with this guy in northern Africa, else at number 10 this fellow will deal with some troublemakers.

OP posts:
TheGirlWhoLived · 04/09/2019 23:21

I’m racking my brains but no Idea!

LadyGAgain · 05/09/2019 06:00

Larry?

LadyGAgain · 05/09/2019 06:01

Or Humphrey'

LadyGAgain · 05/09/2019 06:02

Having the hump - sulk. Humphrey - camel North Africa. And chief mouser!

TheGirlWhoLived · 05/09/2019 12:17

Good shout! I couldn’t make Larry the cat work with Africa Envy

finallychangedmyusername · 05/09/2019 19:26

Yp, you got it, Humphrey!
Don't sulk = don't get the Hump Grin
Humphrey Bogart will whisk you off your feet in Casablanca, I didn't think of the camel!
And the former official mouser of Downing Street was of course Humphrey the cat.

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 05/09/2019 20:43

I so love the job 'Chief Mouser'. My cat would be utterly hopeless. Too much effort involved Grin

Don’t lie dead in a ditch when you could be dictating the tennis

finallychangedmyusername · 08/09/2019 18:48

Boris?

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 08/09/2019 18:49

Bo Jo said he'd rather "lie dead in a ditch" than delay Brexit, Boris Becker?

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 08/09/2019 22:01

Yes @finallychangedmyusername ! And the dictate comment was Boris Yeltsin

Over to you!
