So, here it is, the fourth(!!!) Guessing Game baby names thread. Shock

All credit to @scotstar for creating the game, back in March 2018. Can't believe how far we've come!

Previous threads here:

1: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3189874-guessing-game

2: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3207745-Guessing-game-II

3: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/3262724-Guessing-game-III?pg=1ℴ=

The game is simple. Guess the name the poster is describing, then it's your turn! Make the clues as fiendish as you like. Grin

All are welcome to join in! @FintyTin, @Ladywillpower, @LadyGAgain and @DuggeeHugs, come join! (Plus others I've forgotten)

'The Full Minty' sounds like a spin-off of The Full Monty that was sponsored by Trebor mints. GrinGrin

Manuel!

Yep you got it @LadyGAgain!

The name Manuel can be traced back to the Byzantine empire. The hospitality worker is, of course, the waiter Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
Not a ill lady = "Man" + "well" = Manuel!

Great clues! Loved Fawlty Towers!

New clue:

She’s alive! Infamously high spirited in her most famous role. Strikingly pretty and a dedicated follower of fashion.

This spirited lady wrote of magic in the forest.
Another had a more fashionable writing career in this female-centric series.
To have this name bestowed would be an honour (according to some).

The spirited lady also wrote about four children.

Yes indeed!

Enid Blyton wrote of the Famous Five (four children and a dog!) and also The Faraway Tree.

Enid Frick was the editor of Vogue in Sex and The City.

The Barenaked Ladies had a hit with "Enid".

Reportedly to call a woman a "second Enid" was considered complimentary - from Tennyson's 'Idyll of the Kings'.
