Name you liked for your unborn your other half vetoed for no good reason. So I mean fairly common names you liked you didn't get to use.

Mine is Allanah dh was on a mega no.

Couldn't even use it as a middle name as her first name was Faye (say it quickly)

But the one we should have chosen was Alex/Alexander. It would have suited DS perfectly.

Cora or Grace for a girl, Noah for a boy.

Orlando - really wanted it for dc3, and having had two boys and used up all my favourite names already, it was the only boys' name I really liked as opposed to thinking 'it's alright'. Dh vetoed. Dc3 was a dd and I'm sure if she'd been a ds I would have grown to love the 'compromise' name, but I'd have been a bit sad, I guess.

Every single girls name I have suggested so far. I actually went through the alphabet and suggested a name a liked for every letter. He noped them all... But then I've also noped his choices. We've only agreed on one boys name, this is why I am convinced (we decided not to find out) we're having a boy.
If it's a girl or doesn't look like a Myles when it comes out we're kind of stuffed 😏

Harry- I have always loved it but husband wouldn't have it as someone else in the village was called it he would not change his mind

I really wanted to call my DD Jemima but DH said it reminded him of Jemima Puddleduck and wouldn't let me! I can't imagine her not being called Poppy now though :)

To be fair, Jemima makes me think Puddleduck too.

DH veto’d Ezra and Golda, with no rational explanation. Then presented the name he and his ExW were going to call DSD but didn’t at the last minute...erm, alright mate!! 😂
To be fair, he has had many a hideous name thrown back at him....

Lucy. Would not even consider it as a middle name.

DD ended up with a name he initially vetoed, and then suggested a few months later. He denied that it had ever been suggested, until I pulled out my list and showed him both the name and his veto next to it.

Esme dh had never heard of it and insists that it’s not a real name I just made it up!

I know why they vetoed Eliott I think in lots of 80s films Elliott’s were the cringing nerdy characters bullied by the jock types. Nice name but would never have used it either

@ItsAllGold19, how is being unmarried a trump card in naming... do tell! OH and I aren’t married...if I get bonus points for it, I’ll take them! 😂

and @AgnesNaismith...your MOTHER IN LAW got a veto????? WTAF????? I’m horrified! Please god let none of my in laws see this site, and dare they even THINK to have a say....awful!! How terribly intrusive! I’m sorry for you xx
