His do YOU pronounce Helena?

I like the name Helena but only if it’s Hell-AYN-a. Not a fan of HELL-ehn-a

Helen-a. I have a DD called Helena and that is how we pronounce it and how most people we meet do.

I would say Hell-enn-a too, sorry!

Perhaps it is a regional thing as I’ve never met a Helen-a and only know Hell-ayn-a as the pronunciation.

However the person called Helena prefers. Reading it, I'd probably say Hel-ayna. But I've met a Helena who likes it pronounced Helen-a.

It's one of those names that I'm never too sure about pronunciation. I've heard Helen-a, Hel-ayn-a and Hel-ee-na.

I’ve only met one hell ay na and I admit that I (along with many others) pronounced it wrong until corrected.

Only person know called that pronounces it hel-ayn-a with envisis on the a.

Northern of its a regional thing.

Personal preference. I know one and she pronounces it Helen-a. But she doesn’t correct anyone who calls her Hel-AY-na
