So our baby is due imminently and we need to name him!
We were thinking
Rufus fox
Axel George
Ludo
Jaxon

Anyone got any thoughts ?!
Surname Edwards
Really struggling !!!
We want something

Strong (he will be big we are both 6.5 foot and 5.11 foot!)
Unique but traditional
Not too "cutesy" eg not an Alfie for us !

Love Rufus and Ludo! Or how about Rex, Quentin or Magnus?

wellhonestly · 13/12/2018 21:04

Lido? As in the swimming pool?
Ludo? as in the game? Kidding, I know it's short for Ludovic. We know a (grownup) Ludo and my DSs call him Ludicrous, can you cope with that?
Sorry I don't like Jaxon (Jackson would be OK though).

Axel like the car component?

I love the name Rufus.
But hey it's not about what I like ... Xmas Wink

courgettetrees · 13/12/2018 21:11

All horrendous and uber trendy trendy try hard

Goingonandonandon · 13/12/2018 21:14

Linus maybe, Rufus is nice, don't like the other names at all. Jaxon, really??

kenandbarbie · 13/12/2018 21:17

Rufus - without fox
Axel George - George not axel
Ludo -not unless he's a game with dice
Jaxon - nope

In conclusion, I like Rufus and George, but none of the other ones.

ernjas · 13/12/2018 21:20

Love Axel and Ludo.

AnotherRoadsideAttraction · 13/12/2018 21:24

George or Ludovic are nice.

George Ludovic Edwards?

HoratioNightboy · 13/12/2018 21:27

I quite like Axel, a good old Scandi name. I also like Jaxon, and don't understand why some have a problem with this spelling. Do you think people were up in arms the first time someone spelled Dickson as Dixon?

DonaldDucksTowel · 13/12/2018 21:33

Oooo no

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 13/12/2018 21:34

I like Rufus

I think its a gut thing as I can't think of a reason that i would be biased towards it

TempsPerdu · 13/12/2018 21:44

Love Rufus - was a contender for DD’s name had she been a boy. Rufus Fox is maybe a bit much though, especially as together it means ‘red fox’!

Not all that keen on the others.

buckingfrolicks · 13/12/2018 21:47

Omg. Lido. Just no.

nickname7890 · 13/12/2018 21:59

Sorry - typo!!!!!was Ludo

Axel and Rufus my faves so far
Dh has other ideas
Thank you for your suggestions as still can't decide between any and would hate to regret!

As in Ludo from Labyrinth?

tammytoby · 13/12/2018 22:50

Ludo from Ludovic

HappyGoLuckyGo · 13/12/2018 23:19

Rufus is the clear winner from your list. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Sophronia · 14/12/2018 00:03

Rufus George or George Rufus

aliceolivx · 14/12/2018 00:08

Both awful.

PinkAvocado · 14/12/2018 00:24

Love Ludo and Rufus.

Rufus is great. Rufus Fox Edwards.

MrsEricBana · 14/12/2018 00:32

Rufus George for me too. RF too much. Jaxon- just no. Ludo ok. A name just popped into my head - Henrik. Nordic and strapping sounding 😁

HopeGarden · 14/12/2018 00:36

I like Rufus, but not with fox because of the “red fox” meaning you’d have.

tobee · 14/12/2018 00:40

Rufus is a fabulous name.

Icklepup · 14/12/2018 04:36

Rufus!

Peachbubble · 14/12/2018 06:39

I like Rufus, really don't like Jaxon. How about Rex, Hector, Angus, Rory, Felix, Isaac, Otto, Max?

nickname7890 · 14/12/2018 08:10

I do really like Rex! And i love otto but I have an Otis!
Is Rex a bit dog like? Someone said that to me! But I love it!
