Do you know any Hazel's??

I prefer DC's being the only one with their name in their classes (sorry to be one of them!Confused) it's just a personal preference.

I've really took a liking to the name Hazel but I've heard it numerous times in films, books etc. But I've never heard of one in real life.

So, do you know any? Do you think it's a fairly popular name? Do you like it/have any negative connotations? Grin

My mum is hazel and my daughters middle name is hazel
I also know of a 3 year old called hazel

Nightmanagerfan · 03/10/2018 20:54

I know a four year old hazel (nickname Hazy) and an 18-month-old Hazel! I love it and think it’s due a revival.

Thesearmsofmine · 03/10/2018 20:55

I know two little Hazels.

FogCutter · 03/10/2018 20:55

My boss is Hazel, she's around 60 and is lovely. I think it's a really nice name.

greenlynx · 03/10/2018 20:55

And this Hazel is absolutely fine, very sensible, serious type. The name actually goes well with her surname.

I know one, she is about 30. Lovely name

Weedinosaurus · 03/10/2018 20:57

Little Hazel’s all over here. 1 in dds class, 1 in a play group we go to and 1 I know if that’s just been born. Lovely name. I also had an Auntie Hazel.

CherryMaraschino · 03/10/2018 20:57

I know one who's in her twenties. She was always the only one in her school, as far as I know, let alone class.

Love the name OP – it's just gorgeous. No idea why it isn't more popular – maybe lack of nicknames? Hazel that I know gets 'Haze' though, which I think is rather nice.

indigo13 · 03/10/2018 20:57

Just one, she's 60 ish. Love it 😀

whatausername · 03/10/2018 20:58

Know some in their 20s and 30s. Have heard a few people discussing the name for babies but idk if anything came to fruition.

CherryMaraschino · 03/10/2018 20:58

Oh so maybe it's just not popular in my area...

hungryhippie · 03/10/2018 20:59

Hellywelly10 · 03/10/2018 21:00

Met a few older women with that name.

OublietteBravo · 03/10/2018 21:00

DS would’ve been Hazel if he had been a girl (he’s 12). I only know adults called Hazel.

1tobleroneplease · 03/10/2018 21:00

My sister is called Hazel (she's 42). I teach a BOY called Hazel. It strangely suits him!!

I love it!

mimibunz · 03/10/2018 21:02

I don’t like it at all, along with Mabel.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 03/10/2018 21:02

I know one baby and one in her 40s. I think it's a lovely name

ApplestheHare · 03/10/2018 21:03

One in her 30s and one 2-year-old.

Rebecca36 · 03/10/2018 21:04

I think Hazel is a very pretty name. You could bring it back into vogue!
It's so nice, no-one would object to being called Hazel. Wish I'd thought of it (don't know that my boy would have been happy though).
