Has anyone ever heard of someone naming a boy Fox ? Friend wants to use this but not sure it’s a good idea. It’s their choice obviously but would anyone say anything ?

I'd rather be called Fox than a Teddy!

I like the name Fox. I like any name that's out of the ordinary to be honest, names that you won't get loads of at school... names that you don't see on the side of mugs in gift shops... names from something relevant to YOU personally. I say go for it 🤘🏼

People will think you’ve called him Fucks

Sunflower321 · 20/09/2018 14:18

Fox sounds nothing like fuck...?!

Wolf is an ancient german name spelled incorrectly (Wulf). Plenty of them around and nothing unusual.
Fox was an instamummy favourite about 5 yrs ago

Yeah it does

Fox Mulder - cool as fuck!

I’ve just seen suggestions of zebedee, cyan and aspen on another thread so you know fox is looking pretty standard in comparison Wink although I’m starting to think the baby names threads are actually just mass exercises in trolling

81 boys named Fox last year!

Nithead · 28/09/2018 08:53

@Sunflower321 where can I look this up please?

My niece is called Fox. Really suits her - and as a result she loves foxes and loves reading fact books about them. Planning to go as a fox for Halloween. She's only 6 though so she may grow out of that. Also goes to a very expensive private primary school so she isn't the only one with an eccentric name.

I absolutely love it. All names were made up once. Think Lily. That's very common but what about Magnolia? That's also a flower but no one seems very keen on it. Same with Fox and Kitty.
