Considering it for my son!

Doughnuts

TSSDNCOP · 22/08/2018 23:50

Ear hair

In my head Crispin is a geography teacher with ear hair and a deep seated resentment of the Deputy Head.

Where I live we have a sandwich shop called Crispins - so I think of the granary French stick I have with tuna mayo, cheese, red onion and sweet corn...

Cardiganandcuppa · 22/08/2018 23:55

Posh twat here too, sorry...

sillysausage16 · 22/08/2018 23:58

Tarquin's best mate

daintydaisies · 22/08/2018 23:58

Crisps

Glumglowworm · 23/08/2018 08:06

Someone terribly posh

SoyDora · 23/08/2018 08:09

Floppy haired, weedy, artsy type wearing green corduroy trousers and a multi coloured blouse.

Itchytights · 23/08/2018 08:11

Posh twat with a ridiculous name.

Ostentatiously posh. Like Tarquin or St John.

Good for a cat not so much for a child. Unless, of course, you are ostentatiously post.

NoSleepTil2030 · 23/08/2018 08:22

Crispin Glover.

I like it and considered it but I'm not sure it suits all personalities. To me it's someone tall, skinny, introverted, art, intellectual... (& yeah, I guess posh? I like posh names though I'm not posh myself).

Plentyoffishnets · 23/08/2018 08:27

I agree with a lot of others - posh and wet. I would use with caution. Could work if you are posh but if not may be a bit aspirational

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/08/2018 10:12

Someone weedy and weak, awful name, sorry.

Belindabauer · 23/08/2018 12:12

I think of Quintin Crisp too.

Greenteandchives · 23/08/2018 12:14

I knew someone called Crispin. A colleague of mine admitted that she thought his name was Chris Pin, and wondered why everyone called him by his full name.
Not really relevant but made me smile.

BigRedBoat · 23/08/2018 12:26

Crispin Glover
Something crispy like a cracker
A posh, BoJo/Jacob Reed-Mogg type character - a bit of a drip

However, there are worse names out there!

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 23/08/2018 12:28

it makes me think of Natasha and Crispin 'the Critics' from Viz magazine.

Sallygoroundthemoon · 23/08/2018 12:32

I think pretentious twat but then the only one I know is posh and hypocritical.

mintich · 23/08/2018 13:21

It's a late addition to the name list but liked it as I met someone named Crispin who definitely wasn't wet.....but was posh!

Frying oil

foxtiger · 23/08/2018 17:42

Sounds very upper-class to me. If there isn't already one in a Jilly Cooper bonkbuster, there should be. There's also a fish-and-chip shop called Crispins near where I live, so if I'm not thinking posh horsey guy, I'm thinking of the smell of chips!

choli · 23/08/2018 17:48

I'd only use it if it was a family name, otherwise it sounds very "trying too hard".

DollyWilde · 23/08/2018 17:51

I work with a Crispin. Lovely man, but yes, very upper class!

HarshingMyMellow · 23/08/2018 17:51

The little shit from Daddy Day Care.
