Considering it for my son!

I owe an enourmous debt of gratitude to a wonderful crispin. Charismatic, powerful, wonderfully smart.

I dated a Crispin about 25 years ago and I ended it because I couldn't cope with going out with a Crispin.
My Dad massively took the piss.

I made friends with a boy on holiday when I was about 7, in the kids club. I was convinced his name was Crispy, kept telling my mum about Crispy. Mum thought I made him up. But then she met him and his parents. And yes obviously his name was actually Crispin. But the name will always make me think of my holiday pal Crispy.

LadyGAgain · 22/08/2018 22:42

Posh and weak.

Coloursthatweremyjoy · 22/08/2018 22:44

A Monk (not sure why)

WTAFIGO · 22/08/2018 22:46

The blonde Kula Shaker guy who sang Tatva whose Mum played Polyanna who turned out to be a twat

AliasGrape · 22/08/2018 22:46

St Crispin’s day speech ( actually I think of how DP likes to do the Henry V speech in his best Olivier voice when he’s pissed)

Christmas

Crisps

Floppy blonde hair - not sure where that comes from

MrsJoker · 22/08/2018 22:46

Dickhead.

DickensianHysteric · 22/08/2018 22:49

Crispy pancakes.

DollyDayScream · 22/08/2018 22:53

I think of a monacle and a tiny chin.

Cazastrophe · 22/08/2018 23:02

Tory!

formerbabe · 22/08/2018 23:05

Crispin would be useless in a fight...I agree with the pp who said posh and weak!

AdoreTheBeach · 22/08/2018 23:16

TBH - first thought is good. Crisps (oh yes, prawn cocktail crisps).

Second thought is a Harry Potter character

EachPeachPearRum · 22/08/2018 23:24

The head of The Dragon School....so yes a bit posh. It would only work well in a limited circle.

Fabricwitch · 22/08/2018 23:27

Rice Krispie buns

RavenWings · 22/08/2018 23:27

Definitely Hyacinth Bucket as said above!

Vicky1990 · 22/08/2018 23:29

I'm thinking nobody should give their child that name, just don't.

Picknickers · 22/08/2018 23:30

The bloke who ran the vegan shop next door to where I used to work called himself Crispin. He was weedy with dirty blond hair and smelt of patchouli oil. We discovered his real name was Mark.

MarthasGinYard · 22/08/2018 23:30

'We discovered his real name was Mark.'

GrinGrin

GlitterGlassEye · 22/08/2018 23:33

WTAFIGO yes

GlitterGlassEye · 22/08/2018 23:35

Hush and Hey Dude are great songs tho. Reminds me of high school in the 90’s.

pallisers · 22/08/2018 23:36

Henry V and the battle of Agincourt

This. Don't really like the sound of it tbh.

I do like Kester

MrsChollySawcutt · 22/08/2018 23:38

We had a Crispin at school. Xmas time was always fun, every time Crispin, someone would sing:

'Good King Wenceslas last looked out, deep and Crispin even'

No it doesn't make sense. It was the 1980s we were easily pleased.

Rebecca36 · 22/08/2018 23:39

I think of someone for whom I worked years ago whose son was called Crispin. A very clever and talented boy.

Topseyt · 22/08/2018 23:43

No. Don't like it. Sorry. I would always think about a packet of crisps.
