Do all Rebecca's become Bex/Becs as adults?

DH suggested it for DC4, but the idea of Bex seriously puts me off! Yet it's a beautiful name!

I know one Rebecca (never been shortened) and 2 Beckys these are 35 and 36 years old. Never heard them be called Bex and Rebecca has always just been Rebecca.
