Third boy due any day and for my own sanity we need to decide on a name or two (i don't want to wait and see what he looks like). Here is our short list. We already have a William & Joseph.

In abc order rather than preference:

Albert (Albie/Bertie) - will i get looks? Bit "out there"?
Daniel (Dan/Danny)
Douglas (Dougie) - not same style/not sure goes with first 2
Edward (Ed/Eddie)
George (dunno)
Lucas (Luke?) - not same style/not sure it goes with first 2
Stanley (Stan) - bit harsh?
Timothy (Tim) DH not too keen.

It's so difficult! I just don't love any!

George or Edward.

FoxAndBear · 27/06/2018 13:55

If you think Albert is 'out there' you'd hate my kids names Grin

IMO Daniel is one of the dullest names going. As if there aren't enough Daniels' around. And I say that married to one.

EspressoPatronum · 27/06/2018 13:57

Daniel and Lucas go best with your other boy's names.

TroubledLichen · 27/06/2018 14:01

Albert (Albie/Bertie) - lovely but definitely not out there, I know loads
Daniel (Dan/Danny) - classic and rarely heard these days, really like it
Douglas (Dougie) - don’t like it
Edward (Ed/Eddie) - lovely, loads of nickname options, would be my top choice
George - it’s fine but I’m not wild about it
Lucas (Luke?) - ok, I’m not keen
Stanley (Stan) - hate it
Timothy (Tim) - don’t like it, sounds wet

LoveInTokyo · 27/06/2018 14:32

Daniel, Douglas or Edward

solarscope · 27/06/2018 14:47

I like Andrew/Andy.

RavenWings · 27/06/2018 14:52

Albert - ugly name, and the nns aren't any better
Daniel - this is lovely
Douglas - ok
Edward - lovely
George - meh
Lucas - gorgeous
Stanley - horrible
Timothy - wet and meek

I'd go for Lucas, Daniel or Edward.

steppemum · 27/06/2018 14:55

I love Douglas. really nice name and not much used.

Bit bored by Daniel to be honest. there's loads of them around.

I think William, Joseph and Douglas sounds better than Daniel.

I think George and Edward are a bit bland

babydreamer1 · 27/06/2018 15:05

Edward goes perfectly with your other names.
Not keen on Daniel at all, I find it really out dated like Kelly or Samantha ect.
Lucas is nice as is George.
I don't like Stanley or Douglas as the nn are awful and I think it's taking the old man names too far.
Albert is nice but doesn't go with what you already have.

Verbena87 · 27/06/2018 15:06

Albert’s good!

Peachbubble · 27/06/2018 15:26

I think Edward or George goes better with your other boys names.

mothertobe789 · 27/06/2018 15:47

Daniel :)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 27/06/2018 16:06

Edward goes well with your older boys' names but I like Lucas (unhelpful).
Albert is far from rare these days.

AnyaMoondial · 27/06/2018 16:11

I love Douglas. Daniel and Edward are also great.

HJL2506 · 27/06/2018 16:45

I have a Stanley, love his name and no regrets. We won't be calling him Stan though. Best of luck :)

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 27/06/2018 16:49

Agree that George or Edward goes better with your older boys names. What about James, Henry or Alexander?

PeggySchuylar · 27/06/2018 17:27

Reuben
Kit/Christopher

IggyAce · 27/06/2018 17:30

Daniel or Albert. Luke would fit better than Lucas with the other two names.

muffinthepuffin · 27/06/2018 18:03

Dougie or Stanley are both on my long list too! Unfortunately our surname makes the latter sound Dickensian but I just love them Grin

ReginaPhalange20 · 27/06/2018 18:07

George and Edward

PennyGH · 27/06/2018 19:32

Edward and Daniel go well with your other names - also Thomas and Alexander as previous posters have suggested

FluffyMcCloud · 27/06/2018 19:37

Douglas!! I love that name. It does go with the others fine I think. William, Joseph and Douglas. Bill, Joey and Doug. Will, Joe and Dougie. Billy Joey Dougie. Bill Joe Doug.

greendale17 · 27/06/2018 19:38

Edward or Albert.

Timothy is such a wet fish of a name

Belindabauer · 27/06/2018 19:39

I think Daniel and Edward are the nicest.

SoyDora · 27/06/2018 19:40

I know 2 baby Alberts, 3 baby Berties and 2 baby Albies so I’d say it’s the opposite of ‘out there’!
