what do we think please? I know it's bit different but it would work in different countries/cultures which I'm keen on

Are you planning to live in lots of different countries??

As for the name, it's an absolute NO, I'm in the UK and your DC would get called Labia.

ChristinaMarlowe · 05/06/2018 09:32

Sounds like/reminds me of labia. Sorry OP. Might just be me and my warped mind though?

dontbesillyhenry · 05/06/2018 09:32

Sounds just like labia. No no and no

Praisebe · 05/06/2018 09:32

I read that as Labia

ChristinaMarlowe · 05/06/2018 09:32

Ah. Apparently it's not me.

YoumeandlittleP · 05/06/2018 09:33

Also read it as labia

rainingcatsanddog · 05/06/2018 09:33

I thought it was a typo for Labia or Latvia

shutthedoorbob · 05/06/2018 09:34

I thought 'labia' too so I'm my opinion it's a no

Viola82 · 05/06/2018 09:35

how about Livia in that case?
It's old Italian name

OP posts:
Failingtoday · 05/06/2018 09:35

I assume you're having us on.

If you're not, sorry, it's just like labia. It would be pronounced Labia in Spain.

ChristinaMarlowe · 05/06/2018 09:35

Or Latvian labia

babydreamer1 · 05/06/2018 09:35

Sorry OP it's not very nice, sounds like a cross between labia and lavatory. What about Lavinia or Lavender?

Fabellini · 05/06/2018 09:36

Why not Olivia?

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 05/06/2018 09:38

Livia's much nicer imo.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 05/06/2018 09:38

Livia is better.

Lavia is too close the labia. It also sounds very much like a washing powder or similar.

babydreamer1 · 05/06/2018 09:38

Livi, Livia or Via can be a nn for Olivia?

MrsHathaway · 05/06/2018 09:53

Livia is lovely and well-known.

Lavia ... well, look, many small children take a while to pronounce the sound V and substitute in B in the meantime. So she might well call herself Labia. NOPE.

PandaG · 05/06/2018 09:56

Livia better, though personally would use Olivia and give choice of diminutives.

Lavia makes me think of a cross between labia and lavvy (lavatory - or toilet), sorry!

FizzyGreenWater · 05/06/2018 09:57

100% no!

ISeeTheLight · 05/06/2018 10:02

Me too, I immediately thought of Labia.

How about something like Lara, Laura, Livia, Licia? They all work well in different languages.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 05/06/2018 10:51

Livia is better, Olivia is lovely !
Other names ;
Lucia
Lyra
Lydia
Lyssia
Lena
Lula

Flamingosnbears · 05/06/2018 10:53

Livia is better but it will get mistaken for Olivia.

MikeUniformMike · 05/06/2018 10:56

Labia was my first thought, then Lav.
Livia is nice but there are so many Olivias.

Marcipex · 05/06/2018 10:57

No no no
Livia is very pretty , Olivia even nicer

hungryhippie · 05/06/2018 10:59

I also read it as Labia Confused
