LadyGAgain · 14/10/2018 10:54

(I have no idea why)

finallychangedmyusername · 14/10/2018 11:08

Sorry not Beryl.

DuggeeHugs · 14/10/2018 18:14

Bethany?

OP posts:
DuggeeHugs · 14/10/2018 18:14

Brittany?

Yay, @DuggeeHugs has it!

Bethany is a biblical place. Ethan is a biblical male name. (So both names derive from the bible).

If you "pass" on a bypass you are left with "by", or the letters B and Y.

Combine B - ETHAN - Y to make Bethany.
Bethany has eaten Ethan, so he is inside of her (between the B and Y).

And as a little cheeky bonus Grin, Ethan is pronounced "eaten" (or thereabouts) in French.

DuggeeHugs · 15/10/2018 19:04

Yay! Thanks @finallychangedmyusername that was really good and I'm afraid I went a bit sledgehammer with guesses at the end Blush

Here's the next clue:

This fabulous farmer is very good at many things, not least saving others from embarrassing own goals.

finallychangedmyusername · 15/10/2018 20:05

Hmmm.... That's a thinker!
Ok first (educated) guesses.... Hunter or Geoffrey?

DuggeeHugs · 15/10/2018 23:35

Neither I'm afraid

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 16/10/2018 22:02

George?

LadyGAgain · 17/10/2018 06:49

Walter?

DuggeeHugs · 17/10/2018 07:38

Neither of those. You may want to think slightly further afield

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 18/10/2018 17:14

Jonathan?

DuggeeHugs · 18/10/2018 19:39

Not Jonathan. I can try to add more clues if you'd like?

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 18/10/2018 20:54

Yes please @DuggeeHugs!

nocluenoidea · 18/10/2018 22:09

Jack

DuggeeHugs · 19/10/2018 07:07

The first half of his name is the beginning of something amazing, whilst the second half is merely all Wright on its own

OP posts:
DuggeeHugs · 19/10/2018 07:27

"Something like amazing", even

Sorry

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 19/10/2018 10:12

Fabian?

DuggeeHugs · 19/10/2018 10:25

Yes @finallychangedmyusername it is indeed Fabian.

Fabulous = Fab, farmer is to do with the meaning of the name, own goals is Fabian Barthez, former goalkeeper

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 19/10/2018 17:31

Nice one @DuggeeHugs!

It's scary how linked some of this clue and @DuggeeHugs' clue are. Mses Andrews and Smith provide the final part.

DuggeeHugs · 20/10/2018 16:23

Julian?

OP posts:
DuggeeHugs · 20/10/2018 16:23

Julia?

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 20/10/2018 23:00

Sorry, afraid not.

DuggeeHugs · 22/10/2018 06:52

Juliet? (If you can guess my theory am I on the right lines?)

OP posts:
finallychangedmyusername · 22/10/2018 07:49

Sorry no, you were closest with your first guess (and correct connection to your last clue)!
