Thank you. Great clues, @finallychangedmyusername - I love an 80s pop reference! Grin

This chap of Biblical descent has a positively colourful name. He could be a king who needs to call the emergency services.

MariaMadita · 13/07/2018 21:44

Maybe Rufus?

LadyGAgain · 13/07/2018 22:36

Joseph?

FintyTin · 13/07/2018 23:06

Not Rufus or Joseph, sorry.

LadyGAgain · 13/07/2018 23:10

Jacob

FintyTin · 14/07/2018 20:19

Jacob isn’t right, but it’s not too far off.

finallychangedmyusername · 15/07/2018 09:30

Asher?

MariaMadita · 15/07/2018 10:10

Jason?

FintyTin · 16/07/2018 11:58

No-one has it so far. Another clue?

FairyFantastic · 16/07/2018 12:31

Reuben?

FintyTin · 16/07/2018 17:12

Not Reuben, sorry.

One owner of the name provides festive laughs.

finallychangedmyusername · 16/07/2018 17:26

Nicholas?

throwcushions · 16/07/2018 18:41

William?

FintyTin · 17/07/2018 20:32

Not Nicholas or William.

diddl · 17/07/2018 20:38

David?

throwcushions · 18/07/2018 13:06

James?

FintyTin · 18/07/2018 20:10

No, sorry.

Another owner of the name is the son of a wizard.

MariaMadita · 18/07/2018 20:48

Jared?

finallychangedmyusername · 18/07/2018 21:32

Jackson?

FintyTin · 19/07/2018 09:26

You have it, @MariaMadita!

Jared means ‘descent’. His name is positively (Ja) colourful (red).
The king is Jared Followill from Kings of Leon, whose sex was on fire (surely requiring both fire service and paramedics...)
Jarred Christmas the comedian.
Jared Harris, son of Richard (from the Harry Potter films).

Well done and over to you Smile

finallychangedmyusername · 19/07/2018 13:48

Aaagh, well done @MariaMadita and great clues @FintyTin! Grin

My brain hurts a lot after that last one! Wink

MariaMadita · 19/07/2018 14:16

Oh my gosh, really? Yassss! Ha, take it DH ;)!

Ehm, right. I'm actually on my way to a check up but I think (I hope...) I'll have managed to come up with a riddle when I'm back. (Might have to run it by DH to make sure it makes sense in English...)

Sorry for not having one ready for you right now! Blush

MariaMadita · 19/07/2018 17:28

I tried to make it logical without being super obvious but idk whether I succeeded...

Anyhow:

This ancient hero brought years of peace to a people using simple tools and violence.

The worthy hero's name is connected to one of the first of usually 5 kingdoms.

finallychangedmyusername · 19/07/2018 18:24

Beowulf?!

MariaMadita · 20/07/2018 07:41

@finallychangedmyusername

Sorry, I've just seen that now...

No, not Beowulf.

And I unfortunately failed to mention that the hero is a woman. Sorry! Blush
