I once worked with a person who'd gone to school with a girl called Myrtle Turtle. I have never stopped loving that.

Any others?

(Not in the spirit of taking the piss out of people's choices, more in the sense of acknowledging parents' genius)

I've known a Dr Tickle - he did not last long as a teacher!

Also Prof. Zeppelin and Dr Argonne. Most of these are chemists.

There were the unoriginal names at school; boys called Richard Richardson and so on.

I think we should vote for best, unfortunately have no idea how votes could be counted! Perhaps limit to best Nominative Determinism (name applicable to job e.g Plod for police person)?

My favourite overall (not under above parameter) is whoever put forward "Pearl Nicholas"!!!

However, I am incredibly puerile.

I am a teacher, with a little 6th form group of 11. In that class, we have Mary, Joseph, Angel & Gabriel. Obviously they were too cool to do a nativity, but we could have. Also, my drama studio was (back in the Regency period) a stable.
