We are expecting DD no 3 later this year and struggling to think of any names!

DH has declared since she is to be our last he wants to go out with a bang and come up with a completely over the top wonderful name.

So out of interest- what girls names can you think of that are a bit OTT. Or names that you would have loved to use but were too scared?

Disclaimer - I still want something pretty but simple so this is more to humour DH :)

So glad I'm Italian...lots of the lovely names that you guys have said are a bit OTT are normal for me culturally.

My (imaginary) DDs would be called..
Matilda Hermione
Aurelia Xanthe

Just remembered - Elfrun (NN Elfie)

It's actually the name of a neighbor of ours!

Silly man. The poor kid has to live with his firecracker name for the rest of her life. I wouldn't be humouring him at all.
You could call her Ricicle then you will have a snap crackle and a pop.

I would have gone for
Vesper
Elisheba
Margaux
Liberty
Sable
Sarai
Sherezade

But dh wanted Emma or Sarah. So we had to compromise and I’m quite glad it’s not too wacky in the end. We chose Elizabeth, with Bessie as nickname.

Thank you for all the suggestions!
Rest assured we are sensible people and whilst we want to pick a totally awesome name for our baby girl we wouldnt saddle her with anything silly. Having said that I have a very unusual name and it not done me any harm! :)

Can't remember if I have already said this - but Zilpha (pronounced either Zilp-a or Zilfa, have heard both).
It is a "proper" name and was used mostly in Victorian or Edwardian times.
