Rory?

What do you think of the name Rory? It's my DH's front runner if we have a boy but I'm not sold. All I can think is Rory Mcilroy and I'm not a golf fan...

I love the name Rory! Makes me think of Doctor Who and Rory was a brilliant character

I love Rory. It was one of our favourite names but a relative used it first.

I actually like it for a girl! Was thinking of shortening Aurora to Rory. I'm not sure about it for a boy.

Hmm, thanks everyone. I'm trying to come round to it because DH loves it and I've totally failed to come up with a shortlist of my own.

Really like it, surprisingly underused given how nice it is

I would tend to go for traditional names e.g. Edward, Alexander, Benjamin, but I'm struggling to find a boys name where I like both the long and common short versions. For example, like Christopher, don't like Chris.

TBH I'm being quite hard work about the whole thing, so as my DH has strong feelings about Rory I'm trying to make the effort to at least consider it fully.
