No.

RavenWings · 31/03/2018 12:27

Very Bond girl. I love it but would say no on that basis.

CastielIsMyAngel · 31/03/2018 12:28

No!

Namelesswonder · 31/03/2018 12:29

Makes me think of a small motor bike!

Astrid2 · 31/03/2018 12:30

It's not a name

DramaAlpaca · 31/03/2018 12:30

People will hear it as Vespa, like the scooter. Or associate it with the Bond character as a pp said.

Shame really, it's a nice sound.

Winterfield · 31/03/2018 12:52

Is the Bond character so bad? That’s where we first heard the name, actually!

AsAProfessionalFekko · 31/03/2018 12:54

Makes me think of vesta curry.

Mindhunter · 31/03/2018 12:56

I like it but I'm in to bikes and scooters. My son has a middle name after a bike. I would instantly Think you liked scooters or bond.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 31/03/2018 12:56

Curry

TempusFugitive · 31/03/2018 12:57

Reminds me of some type of mass. I remember an old aunt announcing she was going to vespers or vespas and I said ''what's that?'' and it turned out to be a mass of some description. So it's a no from me.

ToesInWater · 31/03/2018 12:58

You do know that vespers is the name for the evening prayer ceremony in a number of religions? If that has meaning for you I get it. If not maybe think again.

TempusFugitive · 31/03/2018 12:59

Winterfield, well, it's better than Pussy Galore that's for sure.

If you're a cunning linquist you will come up with a better bond name.

TempusFugitive · 31/03/2018 13:00

"toesinwater, phew, not going mad then!

daisypond · 31/03/2018 13:00

I've surprised myself, but I like this. I've never heard of the Bond villain, and only think of "evening star" and "vespers" in church, etc, so it has a nice image to me. Yes, there's bikes and scooters, but that's not my first thought. Vesta is also OK to me - the Roman goddess of hearth and home.

Purplehammer · 31/03/2018 13:10

Vespa as in the name of the scooter is Italian for wasp.Grin .

UnsuspectedItem · 31/03/2018 13:19

Vesper for some reason made me instantly think "nest of vipers" immediately followed by "that Italian scooter brand".

Sorry, OP

MaverickSnoopy · 31/03/2018 13:19

Not keen. I once knew a girl called Hesper which I think is quite pretty.

IVflytrap · 31/03/2018 13:21

I like it. It's a calm sounding name, makes me think of singing and the gloaming hours around dusk.

pilates · 31/03/2018 13:22

No, awful

thatsmyjoomper · 31/03/2018 13:26

I think it sounds snakey.

daisypond · 31/03/2018 13:28

I now think Hesper is better, with the same meaning, as Maverick has said, and it's a long-established girl's name.

Mishappening · 31/03/2018 13:30

Oh dear - poor child. Please do not do this. It is a silly name that sounds like a scooter.

Vespers are the night prayers in the Christian church, if that influences your decision.

Vesper is also German for 'wasp'

I don't remember the Bond character. But did know that vespers are evening prayers.
