How popular is Alice? Do you know of any babies called Alice?

I love the name Alice. I’ve DDs and there’s only ever been one Alice in their year groups/school that I can think of in the last 15 years!

askjeeves · 15/03/2018 15:58

I know one baby Alice.

MelvinThePenguin · 15/03/2018 15:59

I know one.

2264 born in the UK in 2016. 17th most popular girls’ name that year.

Annabelle4 · 15/03/2018 16:00

I love it.
I only know one.
I think it's very likely that if the royal baby is a girl, she will be called Alice, so that is something to consider

windchimesabotage · 15/03/2018 16:00

I know no babies called that. I had a friend at school called Alice, she was the only one in my year called that. I think its lovely. Traditional but not over popular.

FoofFighter · 15/03/2018 16:01

I know of one who is about 2.5 I think, and two in their twenties. Gorgeous name :)

Strax · 15/03/2018 16:01

I know two, one is my DD. 😄 totally biased but it's a lovely, classic name

Luckingfovely · 15/03/2018 16:01

I have one Smile only two in her school, and I love it.

BikeRunSki · 15/03/2018 16:04

I am one! It is very rare to meet others of any age.i have a 6 year old DD, so I know quite a lot of young girls, and not another Alice amongst them.

ToddlerHero · 15/03/2018 16:04

I know several.

I find it a bit dull but it's not my taste at all. It's a perfectly good name.

Luckyme2 · 15/03/2018 16:05

I know 4. Ages 9, 11, 13 and 16. Lovely name

userabcname · 15/03/2018 16:06

I know one baby Alice.

MotherOfWurzel · 15/03/2018 16:07

I love this name and want to use it if I ever have a girl.

When telling this to a friend though, he screwed his face up and said "what, like 'Living next door to Alice Alice, who the fuck is Alice?' Hmm

It hasn't totally put me off....

olddogsnewtricks · 15/03/2018 16:07

Yes, my 8 year old.

MammieBear · 15/03/2018 16:11

None whatsoever, it is timeless in my opinion.

VioletteValentia · 15/03/2018 16:17

I know a few around 22 ish

Justgivemesomepeace · 15/03/2018 16:18

Love it. Don't know any children called Alice. I know 1 lady called Alice.

afrikat · 15/03/2018 16:21

I love it. Was on my list ❤️

troodiedoo · 15/03/2018 16:24

I have a baby Alice. Dd1 has four Alices in one of her college classes.

Notonthestairs · 15/03/2018 16:28

I know 4. 4, 8, 10 and 41 years old! Love the name. It's pretty but quite strong sounding and characterful. We were going to use it but it clashed with our sons name.

I'm sure I read on one of the royal threads it was odds on to be next royal baby name if it's a girl (presumably!). No idea whether that should bother you though.

chloworm · 15/03/2018 16:30

My DD (9) is one! I know of three others in our smallish village, so think it's becoming more and more popular.

BabloHoney · 15/03/2018 16:35

My favourite girls name! Beautiful and timeless.

ChocolateCrunch · 15/03/2018 16:36

I like it. I know two adults and one 12 year old with the name.

PandaCat · 15/03/2018 16:43

I don't know any babies, my almost 6yr old is called Alice though. She is the only one in her class

BikeRunSki · 15/03/2018 16:56

Just check and double check it works with your surname. It runs into my maiden name to make a completely different first name, so lots of people think i’m called that name, but don’t know my surname. With my married name, i’m an infamous rock star!
