It's my daughter's name. She is almost 3 now. We love it. Think it's a bit of a marmite name though, some people obviously don't get the appeal when introduced. But it's mainly well received. Glad you are going for this spelling as well as I'm not fond of the alternatives. Xx

Love it. Great name. Not at all old fashioned. In fact very modern. It is getting very popular. I know a few baby Margots (along with Silvia). That may or may not bother.

I love it! Was meant to be DD(3)'a name but when she was born she just didn't look like a Margot... (still doesn't!)

It's increasingly popular but not my style. I know the 't' on the end is silent but to me the name looks quite harsh written down.

I love it but it reminds me always of the character in The Good Life.
At least I think she was called Margot. Long dresses, quite posh, lived next door to Tom and Barbara.

Prefer names to be spelled how they are pronounced 'Margo' instead I see 'Margot' as Mar-got. I'm not very keen on it tbh but That's just my personal preference.

Think it would get shortened to marg or Maggie xoxo

I don't like it spelt Margot, though. It makes me think of Maggots

But ... I am over 50. If you are un your early 30s, you can ignore The Good Life references (but older relatives might quietly snigger Wink)

I don't think it's outdated, but I really don't like it.

I have an aunt called Margot, and have been aware of Margot Robbie since she was on Neighbours, but neither can alter my feelings on the name. I just think it sounds so frumpy, and it looks like maggot.
